00:00What do you think the historical significance is of the Boyne Bridge? Why do you think it should
00:04be kept? Just the history of it, just the making of it from 1642 from the Great Bridge to the Salt
00:13Water Bridge till the Boyne Bridge it is now. The old remains of the 1640 bridges underneath
00:19there were the old wooden pipes that actually fed the water to build Belfast with and there
00:24is a historical part of Sandy Row and the people wanted to stay. It says before 1700
00:31anything that's built before 1700 should be restored and listed in the way. Well they're
00:37actually flattening the bridge and taking everything away. It means so much to Sandy Row
00:45and all the historical things that's happened through all the years it's just sad that
00:54you're taking it away. Our life every day is horrendous. You're spending a half an hour on
01:01Sandy Row just to get out in your car with the two toucan crossings to put on top of the bridge
01:05but there's a great solution for all this here. Four million the toll is to raise the bridge and
01:12put all the people from the hub underneath it so if they do that then the toucan crossings go
01:17and then traffic is normal and it makes common sense just to do that you know so it does.
