Transcript
00:00In my book that I'm writing now, I wrote a chapter on love,
00:03which is something I've never written about, obviously.
00:05And I wrote about the sublime quality that you can have
00:08when you allow yourself to go deeper and deeper and deeper
00:10into that falling process, where you get rid of your ego,
00:14you get rid of your defenses,
00:15you get rid of all the resistance,
00:17and you just let yourself fall, fall, fall, fall, fall,
00:19and you connect to someone on that deeper level.
00:22It's a chapter on the sublime
00:23because it is a very sublime experience.
00:25And the reason I wrote it is I feel like people
00:27are missing that now because they don't wanna be vulnerable.
00:30They don't want any pain.
00:32And falling for another person
00:33and letting go of your defenses opens you up to pain.
00:36We don't wanna experience that.
00:38We wanna be invulnerable.
00:39It's like cutting off all the richest experiences in life.
00:43And so I wrote that chapter addressing that and say,
00:45let go of your defenses, let go of your resistance.
00:48Let yourself go into that process of falling.
00:50Feel what it feels like to have your ego dissolved
00:54in the presence of another person
00:55and care more about them than you care about yourself.
