00:00Hundreds of demonstrators have marched through central Rome to call for a ceasefire in Gaza.
00:07Chanting free, free Palestine, they also demanded an end to the fighting in Lebanon.
00:13Israel and Lebanon-based militant group Hezbollah have traded almost daily fire since the war
00:17in Gaza broke out in October, displacing thousands on both sides of the border.
00:23On the 30th of September, Israel launched what it called a targeted ground operation
00:27in Lebanon, it says, to find and eliminate Hezbollah positions.
00:32There were similar scenes in the Portuguese capital Lisbon, where thousands marched calling
00:36for an end to the hostilities in Gaza and criticising what they say is the complicity
00:41of Western governments who sell arms to Israel.
00:45The war in Gaza broke out on the 7th of October last year after Hamas militants launched an
00:50incursion into Israel, killing around 1,200 people and taking 250 hostages.
01:02Ukrainian military recruitment officers have raided venues in the capital Kiev, checking
01:07military registration documents and detaining men not registered for conscription.
01:12Checks took place in restaurants, bars and shopping centres, with witnesses saying some
01:16men had been detained.
01:18Local media said similar raids were also conducted in clubs and restaurants in other
01:23Ukrainian cities, including Kharkiv and Dnipro.
01:26All Ukrainian men aged between 25 and 60 are eligible for conscription, and men aged between
01:3218 and 60 aren't allowed to leave the country.
01:35Meanwhile, the Russian army has conducted a massive airstrike on civilian infrastructure
01:40in the eastern city of Sumy.
01:42The regional prosecutor's office said a missile hit a residential neighbourhood, damaging
01:46a four-storey apartment building.
01:48A wave of drones also targeted and damaged local administrative buildings and at least
01:53three private houses.
01:55There have been no reports of any casualties.
02:02At least four people have been killed in an explosion at a petrol station in Russia's
02:06southern region of Chechnya.
02:09The explosion of a gas tank triggered a fire at the service station in the regional capital
02:14Grozny, according to the emergency's ministry.
02:18The ministry also said that two children were among the dead.
02:23Local media said seven fire engines and 35 firefighters were deployed to tackle the blaze
02:28which has since been extinguished.
02:33Grozny is about 1,500 kilometres south of the capital Moscow.
02:39Regional authorities said the cause of the explosion is unknown, but that a criminal
02:43investigation has been opened.
02:47Last month, an explosion at a gas station in the neighbouring region of Dagestan killed
02:51at least 13 people and injured 23 others.
