00:00So exciting and speaking of excitement we've got a tied game between Ole Miss
00:06and LSU. This first quarter I really did not know where to expect this game to go.
00:11I know that there's been a large conversation around Ole Miss and their
00:14strength of schedule and where the tests are truly going to lie. I've been a big
00:18fan of watching Jackson Dart, another dual threat quarterback, in the
00:21quarterback conversation. 284 passing yards, one touchdown, one interception at
00:25the moment and his need for legs today only sits at 33 rushing yards and that's
00:30through 14 carries which just tells you some of the issues that LSU has
00:34presented. But Rich, I'm going to throw this one to you. You got Dart in the
00:37Heisman conversation but you've got Nussmeier who's actually kind of showed
00:40up and delivered for his team. He's sitting at 312 passing yards, probably
00:44somebody who hasn't been as highly talked about in the quarterback
00:47conversation. I would more so say after they almost fell short to South
00:51Carolina. But what are we missing when it comes to LSU and their deliverables this
00:54season? Yeah, LSU is a bit of a mystery right now. I expected more at this stage
01:00of the Brian Kelly era, longtime Notre Dame coach. I thought it was a good fit
01:05for him to go to the SEC, knows how to develop players, knows how to recruit, now
01:09has the resources, now has the ability to get more five-star players which wasn't
01:15always the case with the academic rigors at Notre Dame. But this year, you know,
01:19defensively they're so-so. Harold Perkins, their best defensive player, is out for
01:23the season. Big fan of Garrett Nussmeier. I think in terms of players whose draft
01:28stock will rise very quickly, assuming he does declare at the end of the season, I
01:33think Nussmeier falls into that category. Same with his wide receiver Kyron Lacey.
01:37But 23-23 looks like it's going into overtime. This is a playoff elimination
01:43game. In the SEC, if you have two losses at this stage of the season, I think
01:48you're done. One big takeaway for me from this game, you know, we think about
01:52offense and Jackson Dart, but last couple of weeks, Ole Miss's defense has
01:56really come around. If they can combine Dart and Ulysses Bentley and Trey Harris
02:02on the outside with an improved defense, get the W in Baton Rouge tonight, which
02:07is very difficult to do, as you know, at night in Death Valley. Get the win here
02:12and they could have a strong run towards the playoffs in the second half.
