00:00Um, then on on Sunday night, USC and LSU.
00:07I think a lot of people assumed that LSU from the SEC is the better of the two teams.
00:15USC has had a terrible defense last two years.
00:18They lose their Heisman Trophy winning quarterback.
00:20What I found fascinating about the matchup was the way it was presented on TV.
00:24Brian Kelly's in his third year at LSU.
00:26He had a Heisman Trophy winning quarterback last year.
00:29Lincoln Riley's in his third year at SC.
00:31He had a Heisman Trophy winning quarterback two years ago.
00:34Those two quarterbacks went one and two in the NFL Draft.
00:38And you've got to replace those kids.
00:40And you've got transfers coming in from all over the country.
00:42What's going to happen?
00:43So the assumption was LSU comes from the better conference, USC's moving into a great conference.
00:49I think a lot of people assumed LSU was going to win that game.
00:51What a great show for Miller Moss, the quarterback from USC.
00:56Here's the thing, in the world of the transfer portal and in the world of the NIL, here's
01:00a kid who cared more about being at USC than he did about his NIL money or even his own
01:05playing time.
01:06And he stuck it out, and he's there, and he's being rewarded.
01:11He's the quarterback of the USC football team now.
01:14What a win by USC.
01:15What a tragic loss by Florida State to be at home on a Monday night, a conference game
01:20when you already were upset by Georgia Tech.
01:22And DJ Ugaleleleli, I can't say the last name right, I don't think, that kid was like
01:29the number one high school quarterback, went to Clemson, was going to be like the era parent,
01:36didn't work out, got paid to go to Oregon State, went there, they got bounced by the
01:40Pac-12, so he bounced, and he went down to Florida State, got paid again.
01:44And honestly, no disrespect to the kid, because I'm rooting for him.
01:47Not good.
01:49Not really very good at all.
01:51And still living on that high school reputation.
01:54So for me, guys, college football coming back in a full slate, a huge weekend, that to me,
02:01and by the way, here's one other one that just jumps out to me.
02:04Oregon this past weekend, who did they play?
02:05They played somebody small, Idaho, and they didn't blow them out.
02:09Like everybody thinks Oregon is going to the Big Ten and they're going to be awesome.
02:13Didn't exactly beat up on Idaho.
02:15So a lot of college football.
02:17That's my top story.
02:18Grande.
02:19Yeah, I would say nationally for me, I watched USC LSU on a plane on the way home, and that
02:25was like shout out to Southwest for their free live TV, because that was great.
02:31It kind of goes to show that you can be a starting quarterback in college football in
02:35any in any sorts of way, like you don't have to transfer to be you.
02:40It's cool for you to sit and wait your turn and then go.
02:44You know, Malachi Nelson was this like crazy recruit that USC got.
02:48He didn't want to sit behind Caleb Williams.
02:50He goes to Boise.
02:51And guess what?
02:52He's not even the starter.
02:53You know, like he didn't even play.
02:56They blew out Georgia Southern this weekend.
02:58So shout out to Miller Moss, who, by the way, like I saw him at the Holiday Bowl last year
03:03in person through six touchdowns against Louisville.
03:06Looked incredible.
03:07Kid looks like he's the next USC seems to pump out these kinds of quarterbacks year
03:11in and year out.
03:12I'm excited to watch that personally, big USC fan been going to games my whole life,
03:17and I cannot wait to see what the season has in store, especially after that game locally.
03:22Locally, are the Padres better without to tease?
03:24We're about to find out because he's back and they're wanting to know.
03:28So he didn't look good yesterday.
03:30Actually looked kind of terrible yesterday, but took four pitches total in four at bats
03:35or five at bats, whatever it was.
03:36So we'll see what happens there.
03:39Joe Musgrove.
03:40Excellent.
03:41You divers pitch tomorrow to tease back Padres finish off this crazy ass strip of was like
03:4628 games in 29 days or something like that.
03:49So that's kind of behind him now.
03:51So lots of good stuff in my brain right now.
