00:00Hello there, I'm Lucy, nice to see you. Was this a lot of fun because I loved your outfits, I loved your character, you look brilliant.
00:07Oh, thank you. It is odd to be in an ensemble and to be the only character that is so narcissistic and absolutely appalling to absolutely everybody.
00:17I'm rude to every single other character in this story without any mediating factors.
00:24I think that at the end of almost every day I was apologising to other actors saying, please don't take this person.
00:31Was he based on anyone that you've met before?
00:34I've worked with two out and out narcissists and it's not comfortable being inside that head space, those skins.
00:44Have they ever come back down to earth or are they still pretty the same?
00:47I think narcissists seem immutable to that.
00:50In regards to this, do you think that superhero movies are ruining cinema or do you think they're keeping it alive?
00:57They're completely keeping it alive. I went to see Joker 2 the other day and it was absolutely jam-packed.
01:03I think they are keeping cinema alive, especially post-Covid.
01:07It's so difficult to get people to end with home movies and home cinemas.
01:13There have to be these big budget blockbusters to get people to leave their houses.
01:18And on the list of amazing things that you've done, was this something that you didn't expect to do and was it a really lovely different change?
01:24I didn't expect to do this because I'm a big MCU fan. I was in Logan and Classic Loki and the Loki series.
01:32So to be in something where you're satirising it feels slightly traitorous, frankly.
01:38Are you looking forward to the guys behind those seeing this? Do you think they'll be fascinated and see some similarities?
01:44Oh, that's not for me to say. I can't speak for anybody else.
01:48And apart from this, what is your favourite franchise?
01:51Joker.
01:52Really? Have you seen the new one?
01:54I've seen the new one twice and I've seen the previous one four times and I loved Heath Ledger and Dark Knight.
02:01Can we get you in one of them?
02:04After this, probably not.
02:07Are you nervous about people seeing this then or is it just a bit of fun?
02:11You're always worried how people react to things but I've been around so long, I get used to it by now.
02:20And what else is there still that you want to do? What role? There must be a dream role.
02:24Anything that's not a self-obsessed, narcissistic actor role. That's what I'd like to do next.
