00:00Helene and Milton, two major hurricanes within two weeks have battered the state of Florida.
00:05Many have been left with nothing.
00:08We believe maybe multiple tornadoes came through this area. Everything's gone.
00:13Only thing standing is the main part of the restaurant,
00:18the first floor of the packinghouse, and the flagpole.
00:22The most recent Hurricane Milton not only submerged homes,
00:26but impacted infrastructure such as the sewage system and power grid.
00:30There are still over a million people without electricity.
00:33President Biden said the cost of the cleanup was becoming clearer.
00:37It could be more, it could be less, but estimate that
00:40it's caused damages around $50 billion from Hurricane Milton alone, just alone $50 billion.
00:48And I want everyone in the impacted areas to know we're going to do everything we can
00:52to help you pick back up the pieces and get back to where you were.
00:56While the hurricanes themselves have blown out,
00:58there are still threats due to the amount of rainfall.
01:01Everybody's got to be careful. This is not over.
01:04We hear people that have touched down power lines.
01:08That can electrocute you. It'll kill you.
01:10People are driving into standing water. That can kill you.
01:14The U.S. Congress recently replenished the country's disaster relief fund,
01:18which helps people with immediate assistance.
01:21However, officials warn more money will be needed.
