00:00Also today is World Mental Health Day, and when you were in those dark places with cancer,
00:05where do you, as a member of the Royal Family, where do you turn to? Is it faith? Is it family?
00:09Is it friends? Because we all get those times, those days, those moments where we need a bit
00:14of help, don't we? We need somebody to talk to. But it's also World Sight Day, and I think it's
00:21really important that it's not just about the mental health of life. I think that we are all
00:28going at such speed. It's really mindful, to be mindful that we can see or we can hear,
00:35or we're still alive, which is why I started today with I'm so lucky and grateful. I think that
00:43it's, I think the most important thing is to remain human and to have humility about being
00:50human. It doesn't matter titled or not titled. It's still the same journey of learning the
00:56compassion of your heart and really going into that sense of how do I feel? Who am I? And then
01:02if I could have, instead of self-fool, you go into self-love to be able to put on the oxygen
01:08mask to help others. I think the Princess has done a beautiful job of really looking and getting out
01:15there today is such a brave, courageous move. And I'm just completely and utterly wonderful to see
01:20that. And it will inspire and help those poor families. And that's what we should be looking at
01:26is courage and courage and courage. If you are frightened, there are many solutions out there.
01:32There are many people that are there to help you. And I feel really lucky to be able to talk to you
01:37about this so that people don't feel they are alone and face it. We can face it together.
01:42Because when people hear that word cancer, for some people, and there'll be people watching
01:46tonight as well who feel that is a death sentence, isn't it? And did you have that fear
01:51when you heard that for the first time? Yes, I did. And I did the drive to the next hospital. And
01:56then it was on New Year, it was a Friday afternoon of New Year's weekend after the
02:01mastectomy. That's six months later when the dermatologist said you need to be at the
02:06Royal Marsden at 8am on Tuesday morning. Well, hold on a minute. By the way, Happy New Year.
02:12And you know, you have three days for your mind to go into the fact that you don't think you're
02:17going to make it because my father died of melanoma. So you... And all that's going through
02:21your mind. All that is going through your mind. So anyone watching, I know and understand. It's
02:26the first time, really, I've been able to completely say I know and understand.
02:31Just please face the fears and go and get checked, screened. The imagery...
