00:00in the newsroom with more election news, although you're not going to think it's
00:03election news when I tell you the first sentence, a porn star is putting her
00:07health in the hands of SDSU students. Her name is Allison Tyler and she's
00:12coming out against prop 60. My colleague Kimberly Hunt is here to tell us the
00:16story and how this all relates back to the election. Yep. If you haven't
00:20already heard about it, it is one of the many propositions on the state ballot.
00:23It is called the adult film initiative and it would require that people in
00:28adult films use condoms while they're filming. Now this Tyler that you just
00:33mentioned and says that 60 misses the mark when it comes to protecting stars.
00:38So today she was on campus encouraging San Diego students to vote against it.
00:43She says that performers like herself find the proposition to be very scary
00:47partially because it allows viewers to sue if they don't see the actors using
00:52the condoms. Which in turn would make my information such as my private name, my
00:59address, possibly medical records, public access. And she says that exposing her
01:06information also makes it easier for stalkers to find performers like
01:10herself. She says there are already protections in place regarding actors
01:14health. Supporters of this initiative prop 60 say that they are just trying to
01:19look out for the health not only of the performers but of course anyone they may
01:23be in contact with. So it's kind of a community-wide societal issue in terms
01:29of protection and disease. Yeah and like it or not it is a huge industry so we'll
01:35see what happens election day.
