00:27We're in town for Red River Shootout, yeah I'm gonna call it Shootout, I'm not gonna

00:31I'm gonna do the State Fair Texas tomorrow, all fried food, I'm gonna do a bunch of reviews.
00:39But before I did that, I'm like, let me see, I landed the night before, any pizza, this
00:43place is the New Haven style of beefs.
00:46They have like a sign from Worcester Street to Main Street, had to give it a shot.
00:51Very confusing, very hard to order on the website, you gotta download an app, you gotta
00:55pay online.
00:56You gotta walk in and it's like, you can't, there's no one even working, can't find a
00:59place to get the pizza.
01:01Finally got it, and here we go.
01:03Well this is tomato style.
01:09I want to say this is New Haven, did you order the wrong kind?

01:26This is good, this is not New Haven at all, this is like New Jersey, Trenton, it's a tomato
01:32pie, this is not New Haven style, it's good.

01:43That's the original, that's the tomato pie from New Haven.

01:45Yeah, that's the basic pizza that you're looking for, the basic pies, that's gonna be like

02:20It's just not New Haven style. I come from New Haven style of beats. This just isn't
02:25it. So we'll wait for the basic cheese. We're having communication issues. I
02:29think a northerner down south in Texas just a lot of my talking isn't working
02:34right now, but we'll get the right one.
02:38Okay. Is this your spot? Yes. So are you from New Haven? No, our owner actually is from Connecticut.
02:47Got it. Okay. So now we got the cheese version which is what I would say is
02:54the more New Haven. So I like the tomato style a lot. I'm gonna say something that
03:01hopefully nobody takes offense to. I think it's reversed on the menu. I think
03:05this should be called the original and that should be a tomato pie. No
03:11original basic. Too confusing. We ended up with the wrong one. So here is, very good
03:17undercarriage, the beats New Haven style in the heart of Texas.
03:23As far as I know, is there any other place in Texas trying to do this? Maybe one down in Austin.
03:27Maybe one in Austin. I don't think I've seen the one in Austin. I've been there
03:31anyways. One bite everyone knows the rules. Let's see what we got. Don't want to burn my face

03:43This passes mustard. We had a couple New Haven guys in here earlier who grew up
03:49there and like we had to try it. You never know what you're gonna get.

04:16Very, very good. This one may be a little over charcoal, which I never say, but
04:22this is great stuff. So this is my favorite style of pizza in the world.
04:26Everybody who follows me knows New Haven of beats. If you see a beats, you're gonna try it.
04:31We've traveled the globe. Sometimes you get fake of beats. This is real. This, if
04:36you have it, you're gonna be like, yeah I've had New Haven style pizza. So I'm
04:42bringing it. Fortunate Sun in Garland, Texas. You can find your own of beats and
04:48also, by the way, an awesome spot inside. Nice bar. Not a lot of waiters float
04:52around. Other than that, a great spot. So congrats and hopefully if you want to
04:57taste what I think is the best pizza in the world and you're in Texas, come on
05:00down. Fortunate Sun. One bite, that's our view.
05:03The tomato pie is really good too. Actually, that I would have given an 8-2.
05:06It just wasn't New Haven style. There you go. Congrats. Yeah, good stuff.
