00:00Pumpkin patches in the capital are hard to come by, but there are a few to choose from
00:07on the outskirts of London. Today we headed to Crockford Bridge Farm, just outside South
00:13West London, where pumpkins were aplenty.
00:17It was the perfect orange autumn day to go pumpkin picking and that's just what we
00:22did. After paying £6 per person online to guarantee a space, we checked in and took
00:28a look at the squash board displaying all the different types of pumpkins on offer.
00:33Then we grabbed a wheelbarrow and headed round. I genuinely didn't realise there were so
00:38many different pumpkins.
00:53But just like humans, these Halloween goodies came in all sorts of shapes and sizes.
00:58The farm is a great day out for families, young ones or anyone looking to decorate their
01:03home with a pumpkin. The board out front described what the different pumpkins and squashes tasted
01:09like as well, so we scoured the ground for different types of pumpkins that would make
01:13good ingredients.
01:15Hey there pumpkin, let's go, let's go pick some pumpkins. Come on. Wow, look at this.
01:21Track. So many pumpkins to choose from, which one shall we get?
01:29What one's that Hannah? Crown Prince. And there's a bigger one there as well, is there?
01:37Wow, look at all these crazy types of pumpkins. I didn't know there were so many types of
01:43pumpkins. So we've got our pumpkin bounty. There were so many pumpkins there and we've
01:49gone for slightly smaller ones because we're quite a small people and we don't need big
01:53pumpkins. So we've got an onion squash pumpkin, which apparently is great in soups and roasted
01:59and curries and stuff like that. Then we've got the Crown Prince, which is apparently
02:03quite a nutty one. And are these the ones that are good in risotto? They're good in
02:07risotto, so look at that too. Very nice little pumpkins. Maybe we'll carve one of those for
02:12Halloween decorations as well. And then we've got the Turk's Turban, I think it's called,
02:17which is a slightly weird looking pumpkin, isn't it? Can't wait to tuck into that bad
02:22boy. And now we're going to go and take them back, check out and pay for our pumpkins.
02:28Let's go.
02:30Once we got what we wanted, we checked out with around four small pumpkins and it came
02:34to just over £10. For a full list of pumpkin patches around London, head to londonworld.com.
02:43Oh my god, look at the size of that. That's insane. That's so big. Catch.
02:55I think we might have found our prime carving pumpkin.
