00:00Recently, Hurricane Milton tore through Florida, carving a devastating path of destruction
00:05in the Sunshine State.
00:06However, the hurricane's cyclonic winds also gave birth to many tornadoes as well.
00:11This video was captured on Wednesday, October 9th, around when Milton made landfall.
00:16And this is what appears to be one of the many tornadoes the Tempest spawned while moving
00:19over Florida's east coast.
00:21You can see hurricane-force winds briefly increasing, ripping the tops off of trees
00:26and sending debris moving at incredible speeds through the scene.
00:29The National Weather Service said afterwards that Milton gave way to a record number of
00:33tornado warnings in the state.
00:35126 tornado warnings were issued throughout the southern half of Florida that day, with
00:40reports indicating some 38 tornadoes were spotted throughout the duration of the storm,
00:45meaning Florida just took the number two position for most tornadoes in any single state in
00:49one day.
00:50According to Florida's Division of Emergency Management, the outbreak of twisters destroyed
00:55at least 100 homes.
