00:00So this is the second year I've been on the panel of judges, and I would say the quality
00:13has really gone up, not just the developments but also the types of developments, so it's
00:18been a really interesting year, there's a lot of residential, a lot of high-rise coming
00:23through, and a lot of infrastructure, so train stations and stuff like that, we've never
00:27had that before.
00:29It's an honour to be shortlisted at prestigious awards like this, it's been brilliant for
00:33raising our profile etc, and puts us into a different category when we're dealing with
00:38funds and people like that, it's really a good achievement.
00:42So we've got some big schemes in the offing right now, so we've got two large projects
00:47that we've just submitted to the council, or pre-app, so hopefully they come through
00:52and there'll be about 70 units that hopefully we're delivering very soon.
00:57I thought it was excellent quality, and it showed the diversity and the breadth of the
01:03property industry across the city region.
01:06I mean, for us, the Liverpool Place Partnership is a private sector collective, and our ambition
01:12is growing the region, growing the opportunities within the region, it's helping the public
01:17sector to sell Liverpool on an international stage, so being involved in these awards is
01:23absolutely, you know, cherubim our core ethos of what we're doing, helping to drive that
01:29inward investment is celebrating what we're good at, but also looking forward to what
01:34the big opportunities are in the future as well.
01:37I think the opportunity now with Liverpool in terms of that alignment with central government
01:43that hasn't existed for so long, so having Labour Party as government in Liverpool there
01:48last month, I think there's a massive opportunity for Liverpool to show its real ambition.
01:54Because a lot hasn't happened over previous years, there's almost a blank canvas for me
01:59to build on, and really grow, show real ambition and drive to take things forward.
02:04I've put a really positive message out there to the LRV community.
02:08Central Docks is one of the biggest residential neighbourhoods in Liverpool Waters, about
02:14two and a half thousand homes, cultural buildings, development of a two hectare park that runs
02:20alongside the Leeds-Liverpool canal, and a project we've been working on really, really
02:25hard for the last three years in order to deliver the infrastructure and effectively
02:31enable the bus to come forward.
02:33Yeah, but how does that feel to work for me? Particularly both in five years as well.
02:37It probably means more in some ways. Yeah, you know, what we're delighted, apart from
02:43the delivery of a two hectare park, roads and all those exciting waterfront schemes
02:48that run along the River Mersey, we've got a lot of residential development that we're
02:54working with at the moment. We've got a big cultural building that we really want to get
02:59delivered, right next to the Isle of Man ferry terminal. Following that, actually, there's
03:04a huge amount of further development all the way up to the Everton Stadium, so we've got
03:0920 years of delivery left and this forms probably about half of that.
