00:00Thank you so much for coming tonight.
00:01No problem.
00:01Thank you, an honor.
00:03Us too.
00:04I first wanted to talk about something
00:06you spoke out in this story, which was journaling.
00:09You journal future experiences, manifestations.
00:13Why do you do that?
00:16I just think that as a way to bring things to life
00:20is to take them out of your head and put them down on paper.
00:24It's like an old form of magic in order
00:25to bring things to life.
00:26So if you want them to be here in the world
00:29that you live in, you bring them here.
00:31You write them down.
00:32So I know journaling is a thing that people
00:34do from their past experiences.
00:35But most of my journaling is things
00:37that I want to see in fruition.
00:39And did you learn that from anyone?
00:43I had a lot of sticky notes in my room on my mirrors
00:45all the time about affirmation.
00:46So I'm a big affirmation person.
00:48Sure, sure, sure.
00:50I'm going to say yes.
00:53I'll give her the credit.
00:55Yeah, you better.
00:58And you recently started a new nonprofit
01:00that aims to diminish the racial wealth gap.
01:03What makes you confident you can do this?
01:05I just think 2024 is a different generation.
01:08I know a lot of people speak to things.
01:11But I think just using my platform
01:13through sports, the people I can connect with,
01:15can bring a lot of notoriety and attention
01:17to people that have been doing great work already.
01:19I don't think me doing it alone is going to be key.
01:21I don't think one person can make change
01:24to any initiative or any entity by itself.
01:28But using sports as a way to bring people together,
01:32using that influence to bring people together
01:34to get the job done, I think I can do that.
01:37I think so too.
01:38And I'm sure, absolutely, yeah.
01:41With the whole community coming together, like he said,
01:43he can't do it just by himself.
01:45But with others coming together and getting this done,
01:47I think that it's going to be awesome to see
01:50that come to fruition.
01:52And what part of your game do you
01:53think got better over summer?
01:55My breathing.
01:57I think just being able to relax.
02:00In high-intensity moments, I think
02:01being able to be calm and relaxed is key.
02:03So I think that's going to be able to help me this year
02:06and during the season.
02:07And is it just breathing?
02:08How else do you maintain an inner calm
02:11during high-intensity moments?
02:14I think really that's it.
02:15I think we take breathing for granted
02:16because that's what we do on a daily basis.
02:19But you can improve this skill, and it
02:21can help in not just on the court,
02:22but other aspects in your life.
02:24Dealing with anxiety, dealing with any forms of hysteria,
02:28whatever.
02:29Anytime you get overwhelmed, you're breathing.
02:31It's so important to managing your stress level.
02:33So I think really that's the focal point
02:37that I really got better at, just breathing better.
02:39And I've seen already in just a few months
02:42how much it's made a difference in my overall life.
02:44Well, amazing.
02:45Thank you so much for coming tonight.
02:47And we hope you have a great time inside.
