00:00So as much as it's, well, he's going up against such a good defense, like why are you throwing
00:03him to the wolves like that?
00:04I don't know.
00:05Sometimes that could be good.
00:06Sometimes you go in there and anything you do, I feel like you, you almost graded it
00:10on a curve.
00:11Like if he's able to have some success against a really good defense, isn't that a great
00:15sign?
00:16So when you play teams like the Jaguars and the Titans and even the Jets later on in the
00:20season, you're like, well, look what he was able to do against the Texans.
00:23Like it can kind of work both ways.
00:25Everybody, not everybody.
00:26It's pretty split right now.
00:27The people that didn't want to see him feel like, oh, you're good.
00:31It's going to be a disaster.
00:32His footwork is going to be a mess and he's just going to get pounded.
00:35Well, if he has a little bit of success, like what, what kind of confidence that's going
00:39to be for him, for the whole offense, but like, Hey, we didn't just wake up a little
00:43bit because Drake Mays here, we also did it against one of the best teams in the league.
00:47Like that, that can actually be a good thing if it's a disaster.
00:51So what?
00:52Yeah, that's what I say.
00:53I mean, I like, obviously I think people are worried about, does it ruin him?
00:56Does it break him?
00:57Uh, will he never be the same guy to me?
01:00That's wildly overdramatic, but I guess that would be the fear.
01:05I would just tell you it's been a disaster.
01:07Like the team has been a disaster.
01:08It's hard to be worse than that.
01:10They have two touchdowns in the last three weeks and they both came off of turnovers
01:14where it was a short field.
01:15They're averaging the last three weeks, I think like eight points a game.
01:18So what the hell has been a disaster now may hasn't been involved in that disaster.
01:22And I get, you're worried about breaking the future of the organization, but at some point
01:26you're going to have to do that.
01:27But also another example people keep bringing up is how this Texans team is like a great
01:31pass rush and all this stuff and how Caleb Williams, Caleb Williams got ragdolled, right?
01:36Seven sacks.
01:37They beat up the bears in week two.
01:39Did that break Caleb Williams or did he get a lot better two weeks later and have his
01:42best game of his career week five?
01:44He lit it up last week.
01:45So you can have bad games, you can have bad moments, you can lose big games and you can
01:48still learn from it and be better after.
01:52So you and I both think Drake may should've started all season.
01:55He certainly should've started against Miami.
01:57Well, that ship has sailed.
01:58That didn't happen.
01:59You can at least get them in there now and there can be benefits to it.
02:02Even if you're going up against a good team, so be it.
