00:00The police are now investigating more than 30 Chinese nationals in Mualbual, Cebu.
00:07They were seen conducting a joint inspection of several government agencies
00:12for the fire safety of a resort in Sitio Kalingking, Barangay Saavedra.
00:18But when the authorities talked to the individuals,
00:21none of them knew how to speak English.
00:24In the middle of the inspection of the resort,
00:27more than 30 sets of computers, 4 laptops, and no less than 200 cellphones were recovered.
00:35According to the Police Regional Office 7,
00:38the resort was rented exclusively by Chinese nationals.
00:44The police contacted the Bureau of Immigration, DOJ, and the PNP
00:51to investigate if the operation had anything to do with the fire.
