00:00Rich Fay here from Manchester World where the news is, well there is no news regarding
00:05the future of manager Eric ten Haag, the Dutchman under increased pressure following Manchester
00:11United's back-to-back draws against FC Porto and Aston Villa. Manchester United 14th in
00:18the Premier League as they head into this international break but the Premier League
00:23table is quite sensationalised this early on in the campaign. United not too concerned
00:29maybe about how low they are in the league table given that one win, two wins can quite
00:34quickly propel you up the table and make things look a lot brighter. United of course had
00:39this meeting in London on Tuesday, that was pre-planned, it wasn't reactionary to United's
00:44poor start to the new season and the pressure on Eric ten Haag and yeah, United are keeping
00:50their lips sealed at the moment because they don't really think there is anything to say.
00:55Manchester United would only comment on the outcome of a meeting if there were extraordinary
01:00measures being taken such as the sacking of a manager but from the club's point of
01:04view they don't really need to clarify anything because from their point of view ten Haag's
01:08future was never going to be decided one way or another on Tuesday. United of course aren't
01:14happy with the way the season has started but having backed Eric ten Haag in the summer
01:19they will continue to back him it seems for the foreseeable future. There is no imminent
01:24news of a managerial change, of course things can change very quickly in football, that
01:28is the nature of the sport but United looked for a manager in the summer, they ultimately
01:33determined that ten Haag was the best choice available. The managerial situation and the
01:38landscape hasn't really changed since then. United of course like we said aren't happy
01:43with the way the season has started, they obviously want more from their investment,
01:47they backed ten Haag with £200m more in the summer as well but right now they look set
01:52to give him a few more weeks, a few more months at least and hope that these things
01:56can be rectified, these things can be turned around. United will hope that the return of
02:00Rasmus Heulig will boost their potency in front of goal, Luke Shaw's potential return
02:06as well later this month will give United a bit more structure at the back. So as things
02:12stand Eric ten Haag is set to remain as the Manchester United manager, as we said caveat
02:17list that things can change very quickly but from the club's point of view there isn't
02:21really anything to report because they never felt that he was really in a position of being
02:27sacked this week. United obviously like we said do need an upturn in form starting with
02:31next Saturday when they host Brentford at home in the Premier League and then well it's
02:37a return to Turkey to face Jose Mourinho. You can follow all the latest Man Utd news
