00:37the Sierra Public Company Limited, one of the largest fiber cement companies in the world.
00:42The investment is worth Php 2.9 billion.
00:46The operation will start next year in Mabalak and Tipampanga.
00:50According to President Ferdinand R. Marcos,
00:52it will surely result in economic growth,
00:55increased jobs, and a reduction in the Philippines' dependence on the production of products.

01:05to the Sierra Public Company Limited
01:07on the sidelines of the 44th and 45th ASEAN Summit and Related Summits in Vientiane, Laos.

01:19to invest in the Philippines.
01:21The Philippines is an ideal hub for smart, sustainable manufacturing.
01:27So let me put on my salesman's hat for just a while
01:31and invite you to explore the investment opportunities that are on offer.
01:37This was said by the President during his visit to the ASEAN Business and Investment Summit
01:43in Vientiane, Laos, People's Democratic Republic.
01:46President R. Marcos Jr. targeted companies that produce batteries,
01:51energy equipment, data centers, and agribusiness.
01:55He highlighted the Philippines' aggressive efforts
01:59in the sectors of infrastructure, manufacturing, agriculture, and digital economy
02:05that are ideal for smart and sustainable manufacturing.
02:09President R. Marcos Jr. promoted the Administration's programs
02:13to become one of the fastest-growing economies in Asia.
02:17For example, the construction of the Manila International Airport,
02:21the construction of the island provinces, and the construction of the ports.
02:26The Administration is also investing in fast internet and telecommunications
02:31in various provinces to provide access to remote areas.
02:35The skill of one and a half million workers in the digital economy
02:41and the implementation of the Digital National ID
02:44for the government's rapid availability of services.

03:32reforms to the Public-Private Partnership,
03:35and the creation of the Create More Act,
03:37which gives incentives to businessmen.
03:40The process is also being accelerated for those who want to do business.
03:43Developing connectivity and resilience within ASEAN is more than just optimizing value chains.
03:50It is about upholding inclusive growth that uplifts every region, every community, and every citizen.
03:59In the second quarter of 2024,
04:02Php 189.5 billion was approved for foreign investments in the Philippines.
04:09The Marcos Administration hopes that this will result in a more vibrant economy
04:14and will provide more opportunities and jobs for Filipinos.
