00:00Hi, GMA Lifestyle, I'm Francis Liburan and welcome to my atelier.
00:15This is the receiving area where I meet my clients.
00:19I welcome them here.
00:20It's a big space wherein they wait for me here and I welcome them.
00:25Most of the receiving area is, I have my retail line here so they could browse through
00:30while waiting for my consultation.
00:36Why did I move to Quezon City?
00:38Quezon City is where I started, Scout Fernandez by Tomas Morato area.
00:42I love the way things are run in Quezon City.
00:45Everything is organized and there's lots of restaurants and there's a certain character
00:50to Quezon City.
01:00The inspiration behind the interiors of the place is when we saw this huge house, there's
01:06already a character to it.
01:10I love that it's old.
01:11It has certain segments of the atelier.
01:15The old furnitures, I never bought any single furniture.
01:19I used my grandma's old chair, the sofa of my mom, and the tables of my aunts.
01:27Everything is repurposed in this atelier.
01:35So before entering the gray room, we're here at the art gallery.
01:39So it's a hallway full of artworks of my relatives that they left behind.
01:44It's a collection of artwork from my old, old grandma to my aunts, my cousins who all
01:49migrated to the States.
01:56We enter the gray room and as you can see, the feel and vibe here is different.
02:03So it's more light and the colors are in dove gray.
02:08I grew up eating in this dining table.
02:12This is my mom's dining table, which I colored it in stained grayish vintage stain.
02:18So this is where I sit down and that's where I face my clients.
02:23This is where we collaborate and talk.
02:25What I love about this space is I made sure that it's a space where I could be very creative.
02:34That's the reason why I put the long dining table at the center because this spot is where
02:41I really create magic when I'm talking to my clients.
02:49Let's go to the next room.
02:51It's where I do my fittings for my brides and for my clients.
02:59So we're going right now to the fitting area.
03:02So these are the memorable moments where we witnessed the bride would sometimes cry because
03:08they love their wedding gown.
03:11This room is very memorable for our clients because this is where they do their fittings
03:19all the time.
03:23So if you see, it's a long hallway.
03:25So there you see the displays of gowns.
03:30So usually when I welcome my clients, they display their wedding gown or their gowns.
03:39On this side is our accessories.
03:43So we customize our beaded clutch purses that they could use for their parties.
03:49So this is the display area.
03:55So here you'll see our sterling collection.
04:00This is my recent collection that happened last year for my 25th anniversary.
04:04So this is the very iconic Phoenix collection.
04:16The reason why we call it the Phoenix collection is because it's a 25 years journey that we
04:22have been through a lot in doing business and fashion.
04:26So Phoenix is very iconic to me because it's rise from the ashes.
04:32So that's the symbol of the collection.
04:38Personalities that I've designed for, I started with people from show business.
04:44So I remember our strategy during that time was really to dress up a lot of stars because
04:49wala pa akong pera noon time nayon in mounting a show.
04:56Internationally, it's Tyra Banks, Gwen Stefani,
05:01Billy Porter.
05:04So those are the mga artista na nabihisa namin.
05:10Local celebrities, most memorable that I've dressed up was Ann Curtis.
05:15Ann Curtis was, I guess I can say that natulungan niya rin yung karir ko when I was starting.
05:21Bea Alonso, Kim Chu.
05:25A lot to mention, but andami ko nang na-encounter na mga artista interesting na bao.
05:32Memorable, I guess as you grow older, habang patagal ka ng patagal sa ginagawa mo, nagiging
05:38mas sure ka dun sa kinikreate mo eh.
05:40I guess my recent one, the Sterling collection was very meaningful for me.
05:44It's because of the meaning behind it.
05:55That's it guys.
05:57Thank you very much for visiting my atelier and I had so much fun explaining to you my
06:02creating place.
06:03This is where I do magic every day.
