00:00In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
00:06In the south of Spain, there was a small village whose people were very joyful and lucky.
00:14The children played under the shade of trees in the gardens of their home.
00:19A shepherd boy whose name was Nasser stayed near the village with his father, mother and grandmother.
00:26Early morning each day, he takes his herd of goats up the hills to find a suitable place for them to gaze.
00:34In the afternoon, he would return with them to the village.
00:38At night, his grandmother would tell him story, the story of stars, the story really interested Nasser.
00:48As usual, on one of these days, as Nasser was watching his herd and playing his flute,
00:57he suddenly saw a wonderful light behind the flower bush.
01:02When he came toward the branches, he saw a transparent and most beautiful crystal ball.
01:08The crystal ball was glittering like a colorful rainbow.
01:13Nasser carefully took it in his hand and turned it around.
01:17With surprise, suddenly he heard a weak voice coming from the crystal ball.
01:23It said, you can make a wish that your herd desired and I will fulfill it.
01:29Nasser could not believe that he had actually heard voice.
01:32But he became so engrossed in his thoughts for he had so many wishes but he must wish for something
01:40which was impossible like the wish to be able to fly.
01:44He said to himself, if I wait till tomorrow, I will remember many things.
01:50He put the crystal ball in a bag and gathered the herd, happily returned back to the village.
01:57He decided that he would not tell anyone about the crystal ball.
02:02On the following day also, Nasser could not decide what to wish for because he really had everything he needed.
02:11The days passed as usual and Nasser appeared to be very cheerful
02:16that the people around him were amazed to see his cheerful disposition.
02:21One day a boy followed Nasser and his herd and he hid behind a tree.
02:28Nasser as usual sat in one corner, took out the crystal ball and for a few moments looked at it.
02:36The boy waited for the moment when Nasser would go to sleep.
02:40Then he took the crystal ball and ran away.
02:43When he arrived in the village, he called all the people and showed them the crystal ball.
02:49The citizens of that village took the crystal ball in their hand and returned and turned it around with surprise.
02:57Suddenly they heard a voice from inside the crystal ball which says, I can fulfill your wish.
03:04One person took the ball and screamed, I want one big, I want one bag full of gold.
03:11Another took the ball and said loudly, I want two chests full of jewelry.
03:17Some of them wished that they would have their own palace with grand door made from pure gold instead of their old houses.
03:27Some also wished for bags full of jewelry but nobody asked for gardens in their palaces.
03:34All their wishes were fulfilled but still the citizens of the village were not happy.
03:40They were jealous because the person that had a palace had no gold and the person that had the gold had no palace.
03:48For this reason, the citizens of the village were angry and would not speak to each other.
03:55There were not even one garden which existed in the village where the children could play.
04:01The patience of the children were run out and they were uncomfortable.
04:07Nasir and his family were happy and pleased.
04:11Every morning and afternoon he would play the flute.
04:14The children could not wait anymore and decided to return the crystal ball to Nasir.
04:20The parents and neighbors went to him.
04:24The children said to Nasir, when we had a small village, we all were happy and joyful.
04:32The parents also spoke in one way or another, nobody is happy.
04:38The expensive palace and jewelry one only brings us pain.
04:43When Nasir saw that the people were really regretful, he said, I have not wished till now.
04:51It was really want everything to return to its own place.
04:54Then I will wish for it.
04:56Everyone happily agreed.
04:58Nasir took the crystal ball in his hand, turned around and wished that the village become the same as it was before.
05:06Everyone quickly turned toward the village and saw it became the same old village with gardens full of trees and fruits.
05:17Once again the people started to live happily and the children played under the shade of trees.
05:23From the next day and every day at sunset, the sound of Nasir's flute could be heard in the village.
05:31This story teach us that we should be happy with whatever we have and not to be greedy.
