00:00Why are people still living in Florida?
00:03Honestly, it seems like a pretty dumb move.
00:07I lived in Florida myself for a few years while I went to school.
00:11However, when I was done, I quickly got chased out of the state due to hurricanes and high
00:16home prices.
00:18I do have family living in Florida on the east side, and I feel pretty sorry for them,
00:22because the place is a ticking time bomb.
00:25There is a almost 100% certainty that Florida will be in the eye of at least one hurricane
00:30each and every year.
00:33With the skyrocket home prices and insurance, and catastrophic weather risk, it just seems
00:37that one has to be completely nuts at this point to remain in a state that is supposedly
00:42called paradise.
00:44Who would honestly want to live someplace where you have to spend more than half the
00:47year watching the news every day to see if your home is going to be swept away, and or
00:51your life may potentially be at risk if you do not abandon everything you own and immediately
00:56evacuate the area?
00:58Most Floridians don't even have flood insurance, and insurance companies can cancel policies
01:03and refuse to sign a person up at their sole discretion.
01:06Thus, as Hurricane Milton has Florida back in its sights, two weeks after Hurricane Helene,
01:12with debris still piled up on the streets, ask yourself, is Florida truly paradise?
