The Real Reason Samantha Irvin Quit The WWE

00:00There are conflicting stories as to when Samantha Ervin quit the WWE.

00:05There have been reports that she informed the company hours before Raw that she was quitting.

00:11However, Ervin claims that she gave the WWE notice months before.

00:16Lillian Garcia's surprise return as ring announcer, makes it seem like the WWE had

00:22to scramble at the last minute to replace Ervin with the 58-year-old Garcia, who had

00:26previously left the WWE in 2009 to pursue a singing career, before returning in 2011.

00:34Ervin, whose real name is Samantha Johnson, is 35, and it seems that she also has aspirations

00:40to resume her singing career as well. Apparently, she and the WWE were unable to

00:46reach an agreement in terms of the projects she would be able to do outside of the company.

00:51However, if she had been thinking about leaving the WWE for over a year,

00:56and supposedly gave them notice she was leaving several months ago, that would seemingly coincide

01:01with when Ricochet left the WWE in June to go to AEW. Even though Ricochet claims she is not

01:08coming to AEW, I do find that hard to believe. Even if she does not come right away, it is

01:15likely she will find her way there eventually. Lillian Garcia returned to the WWE after just

01:21two years, when she thought she could make it as a singer.

01:25Renee Paquette left the WWE in 2020, and after doing some outside projects,

01:31she joined AEW, and her husband Jon Moxley, in 2022. Ervin will likely go through that

01:38same transition. But in the end, Samantha Ervin will be All Elite.
