00:00Lebron James once again made history in his preseason game against the Phoenix Suns in the Los Angeles Lakers.

00:08He was the first NBA player to have his son as a teammate.

00:13This is Rafael Bandairel's story.

00:18For the first time, Lebron and Bronny James appeared in a court as teammates in the Los Angeles Lakers.

00:26This is the first time in the history of the NBA that this happened.

00:30But since it was just a preseason game, it was just a preview of what awaits the Lakers in the upcoming season.

00:37For the all-time leading scorer of the league, James, he considers it an achievement to play with his son, Bronny.

00:45It's a pure joy to be honest, to be able to come to work every day, put in the work, hard work with your son.

00:52Every day, and be able to see him continue to grow.

00:55We push each other, he push me, I push him.

00:57We push our teammates and vice versa.

00:59So, it's just a very joyous moment, not only for myself, but for our family.

01:05Lebron James admitted that his rookie season will not be easy,

01:10especially with all the distractions that come with being the son of one of the most famous basketball superstars in the world.

01:17No, I just continue to try to be myself every day.

01:20Doing the things I love since I've been a kid and just trying to keep that routine up and being myself.

01:26But also taking the time to tune out all the noise and tune out all the people that don't think I should be here.

01:34While also trying to get in the gym, put my work in and keep improving myself every day.

01:41With the start of the new regular season, James will enter the 22nd year of his career.

01:47Because of that, he and Vince Carter will become the record holders of the longest NBA career in history.

01:54The 2024-2025 NBA regular season will start on October 23.
