President Asif Ali zardari speech in Palestine solidarity All parties conference in Islamabad

00:10Maulana Fazlur Rahman, all my friends, distinguished guests, ladies and gentlemen,

00:18Assalamu Alaikum. I welcome you all to the Awan-e-Sadr to thank you for your participation

00:27in this all parties conference of the Palestine and Gaza.

00:57It has been one year since the start of the brutal Israel aggression on Gaza and Palestine,

01:25which has resulted in the death of more than 41,800 Palestinians,

01:32whereas around 100,000 Palestinians have been injured.

01:38Besides massively destroying health and education infrastructure, public property,

01:46Israel has now further expanded its brutal campaign targeting the innocent people of

01:54Lebanon, Syria and Yemen.

01:57Through this action, Israel has not only endangered religion, peace and security,

02:06but this action also threatened global peace.

02:15Pakistan is deeply concerned over the escalation of hostilities in the Middle East

02:22and strongly condemns the Israeli barbarism, aggression against Palestine and Lebanon,

02:31as well as the assassination of the top leaders of Hamas and Hezbollah.

02:38We stand in solidarity with the people of Lebanon and Palestine,

02:44share the grief and prayers of the brave martyrs.

02:50It is regrettable that the international community has failed to stop Israel

02:56from committing its ongoing genocide in Palestine, especially in Gaza.

03:03The prevailing culture of immunity and disregard for international law must be addressed urgently.

03:13The people of Palestine and Lebanon and wider region deserve to live free from fear and violence.

03:21It is crucial for the international community to take swift action to de-escalate the situation.

03:30We call upon the international community to take immediate steps to halt Israel's brutalities,

03:44prevent further loss of life, prevent conflict from spilling over.

03:51Pakistan reiterates its call for the UN Security Council to uphold peace and security in the region,

04:01safeguard Lebanon's sovereignty, and put an end to the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Gaza.

04:10We will continue our support and raise our voice to all regional and international fora

04:18to stop Israel's human rights violations and aggression.

04:23We believe that peace in the Middle East cannot be achieved without resolving the Palestinian issue

04:32in accordance with the UN Security Council resolution.

04:37Pakistan would continue to support the rights of the Palestinian people

04:43and would constantly advocate a two-state solution as the key to enduring peace in the Middle East.

04:52We urge the UN Security Council to restrain Israel from adventurism in the region

05:00and violation of international law, and to restore peace in the Middle East.

05:08Today, Pakistan reiterates its policies on Palestine,

05:14which include a total withdrawal of Israel from occupied Arab territories,

05:21including Jerusalem, restore ineligible rights of the Palestinian people

05:32to exercise self-determination and sovereignty in an independent, viable state of Palestine

05:41on the basis of pre-1967 borders with al-Quds and al-Sharif as capital,

05:49and adjust resolution to the plate of Palestinian refugees

05:55in accordance with General Assembly Resolution 19111 of 11 December 1948.
