One of Sheffield's historic halls, once home to a Victorian steel magnate, looks set to be sold off as the army plan to leave it after using it for over 100 years

00:00The giant former home of one of Sheffield's former steel barons is set to be sold off, with the army planning to leave the site after 100 years there.
00:10Encliff Hall was the biggest house in Sheffield when it was built for John Brown, who was then the head of the steel firm John Brown and Company, in the 1860s.
00:20But, for over 100 years, it has been used by the army, most recently by the Reserve Forces and Cadet Association, and it's currently the headquarters of 212 Field Hospital.
00:32But now, it's been revealed that the RFCA aims to sell the Grade II listed building, including all land and buildings.
00:42It's confirmed in documents accompanying a planning application asking Sheffield Council to agree for works of art to be removed, which hold significance to the army.
