00:00A police officer who was involved in a road rape was removed from his position at NLEX Mindanao Tall Plaza in Valenzuela City.

00:07This was reported by Ryan Leziguez.

00:11A man who was shot by a truck driver in Mindanao Tall Plaza in Valenzuela City was removed from the position of Philippine National Police Civil Security Group.

00:21The video was taken and the incident quickly went viral.

00:25In the video, a man was seen angrily pushing the driver of the delivery truck in Tall Plaza.

00:31When the incident happened on September 30, the man in the video who was shot was a police officer with a rank of police staff sergeant.

00:40We are going to investigate.

00:43Even if the parties settled, we will still conduct an administrative investigation as to whether the standard operating procedure was followed in the action that he carried out in the arrest.

01:03The initial investigation of the Valenzuela Police revealed that the delivery truck was hit by a police vehicle but instead of stopping,

01:11the driver managed to escape the hit vehicle.

01:14This is where the police got angry.

01:17They chased the driver and when they finally caught him, the driver of the delivery truck was dropped by the police.

01:22The driver was faced with the police and in the end, the Philippine National Police Civil Security Group decided to arrest the police even though he was not wearing a uniform.

01:32As a general rule, the police is not prohibited from effecting an arrest for as long as in his presence.

01:41An offense or a crime has been committed.

01:45It is not prohibited that if the police is wearing a civilian attire, he cannot effect an arrest.

01:53But again, we would like to clarify also based on the report, both parties confirmed that there was no shooting that happened.

02:10The CSG is now investigating if there was a violation of the police operational procedure in the way of arresting the truck driver.

02:17For the meantime, pending the administrative investigation of our personnel, he was relieved of his position in the SAC purview.

02:29We were also ordered to turn over his gun pending the investigation of this incident.

02:40The police was in the SAC Fairview Satellite Office during the road rage incident and the investigation is still ongoing that this is not a case or incident related to his work.
