00:00So, June 26th, we accomplished one of the biggest goals of our careers.
00:10IWGP Heavyweight Tag Team Champions, FTR!
00:17We have built this light from Senzan and Chono to Tanahashi and Nakamura to G.O.D. to FTR.
00:32We take the lineage of these titles very seriously.
00:35Oh, and Aussie Oboe!
00:40Oh, and this is one, I love it!
00:44Oh, blasts him down!
00:47FTR, and it looks like you're holding some IWGP Heavyweight Tag all right there, not sure about your partner.
00:552019 Royal Quest, it felt like it was our time then, but it's only made us hungrier for those belts.
01:02Now, we have a victory over the current champions.
01:06Because we're fighting champions, man, we want to be the best.
01:09Okay, maybe five years from now, you might be out of the Greatest Tag Team Award.
01:12Maybe five years from now, that's cool.
01:14Right now, 2022 FTR, this is the year of FTR, and we're coming back to London.
01:19We will accept your challenge.
01:21Our first real tag team title defense of IWGP Tag Team Champions is against you, Aussie Oboe.
01:27And London, you house that match.
01:30Top Guys, out.
01:43Ladies and gentlemen, your main event for night one of Royal Quest II is a tag team match set for one fall.
01:52One fall!
01:53With a 60 minute time limit, and it is for the IWGP Tag Team Championships!
02:12I have called many more Aussie Open matches than I have FTR.
02:17And for as long as I've seen them, I've said, you are looking, folks, at the future of tag team wrestling.
02:25Kyle Fletcher, Mark Davis, it's all come together now in 2022.
02:33Pandemic over, me and Davis healed.
02:37Fletcher maturing physically, part of the United Empire.
02:43First strong Openweight Tag Team Champions.
02:46Everything is turning, just so, for Aussie Open.
02:51No better time than now for them to face FTR to become the IWGP Heavyweight Tag Team Champions
03:00before they even step foot in Japan.
03:03Yeah, it seemed three years ago in the first Royal Quest that everything was coming up Aussie Open.
03:10And that match with G.O.D. in the Copper Box was a stunner.
03:14They were on track to be in World Tag League that year.
03:18But then it was the knee injury from Mark Davis and then the global pandemic that put everything on the shelf.
03:25But it showed them, it lit a fire in these two men to come back stronger.
03:32For Kyle Fletcher to literally come back an awful lot bigger.
03:36And this year has been the breakout year in New Japan Pro Wrestling, in AEW, in Impact.
03:43Wherever they can be, they have dominated.
03:46And now it's time to run the world, but FTR won't let them.
04:07Seven stars.
04:10Three Tag Team Championships. You see them with two of them.
04:17Became IWGP Tag Team Champions back at Forbidden Door.
04:22But this is their first event and I wonder whether this is the key.
04:26Is London welcome?
04:29Wildly popular wherever they go.
04:32Wildly successful wherever they go.
04:35Top guys, no doubt.
04:37But do they have the laser focus that Aussie Open had?
04:44But still, they're going to have to come back stronger.
04:47They're going to have to come back stronger.
04:49They're going to have to come back stronger.
04:51They're going to have to come back stronger.
04:53Aussie Open have.
04:57But still, the track record speaks for itself.
05:002022 in straight Tag Team matches.
05:03FTR 15-1.
05:05Their last defeat. You have to go back to February 9th, 2022.
05:10Against Jon Maxley and CM Punk.
05:14Try telling that as a trivia question in a couple of years time.
05:18And everything that's gone on in the meantime.
05:21When you look at their success.
05:24Not just with the IWGP Heavyweight Tag Team Championships.
05:29But also the Ring of Honor Championships as well.
05:32And the matches that they had with the Frisco's.
05:34A thrilling pair of bouts that are going to get a lot of Match of the Year consideration.
05:39Which is very, very rare for Tag Teams.
05:43But well deserved.
05:45You talk about laser focus needed to beat Aussie Open.
05:50They are a throwback.
05:54To days gone by.
05:56When Tag Team Wrestling was at it's premium.
06:00At it's zenith.
06:02And that the best Tag Team in the world would take on all comers.
06:07Would travel to different territories.
06:09And would take the best shot of anybody that would come at them.
06:15And you can throw to Midnight Express.
06:18You can take Tully Blanchard, Darn Anderson.
06:20You can take Bret Hart and Jim Neidhart.
06:24Whatever combination for whatever promotion you want.
06:29Cash Wheeler, Dax Harwood have taken something from all of them.
06:35And I think they have the focus.
06:38But Aussie Open is next level right now.
06:42And this is very much Aussie Open's home turf.
06:47Born in Australia.
06:49Made in England.
06:52Aussie Open.
06:57All the stars are aligning.
07:01To the challengers here tonight.
07:06Let's put the Briscoes in the mix.
07:10Aussie Open, FTR.
07:12Two of the top Tag Teams in the world.
07:15I think you throw the Briscoes in and there's your top three.
07:20And the fact that World Quest II gets this as a main event.
07:29Very, very well deserved.
07:33But like you mentioned.
07:35Almost a home game for Aussie Open.
07:39I mean almost a home game.
07:41As good as a home game.
07:45Mark Davis has been wrestling in Australia.
07:49Always had eyes on the UK.
07:56Made the trip in his mid-twenties to get his career going in the UK.
08:01Because of course if you're still in the Commonwealth it's an easy trip over.
08:06Carl Fletcher did it straight out of school at age 18 for himself.
08:11It was a common contact.
08:14Common contacts that they had.
08:15Carl Fletcher was trained by Robbie Eagles.
08:18Who knew Mark Davis.
08:20But they never met one another until they were in the ring together in the UK.
08:26And then they were thrown together as a Tag Team.
08:28I was the two Australian guys but they instantly had chemistry.
08:35You saw it before anybody in 2018.
08:37I was singing their praises from the minute I laid eyes on them.
08:42That match that they had with G.O.D. at World Quest.
08:46Everybody said wow.
08:48And I said just you wait.
08:50They are on their way.
08:52Mark Davis suffered a tragic knee injury warming up before a PWG event.
08:59Blown ACL.
09:00Knee surgically repaired.
09:02Global pandemic.
09:03How would they respond with the best years of their career?
09:10A lot of other teams they might take that.
09:12Especially if perhaps the pandemic was almost a blessing for Aussie Open.
09:18In that respect because they were able to hit the reset button.
09:21And then hit the ground running together.
09:23And just so much hungrier and so much better.
09:27Mark Davis wants this more than anything.
09:31Carl Fletcher has always wanted it.
09:33And you can see the work that he put in.
09:36If you watched Royal Quest 1.
09:38And what Carl Fletcher looked like then to today.
09:41And you've seen almost like a young lioness growth.
09:44A literal physical growth.
09:46Upwards and outwards.
09:47When I saw Fletcher and I saw Davis at Forbidden Door.
09:52I said my God.
09:54Carl you keep getting taller every time I see you.
09:57On top of that the muscle mass he's added.
09:59We begin carnauba time.
10:03Oh and Dax Harwood certainly knows.
10:07The pressure to win in a potential hostile territory.
10:20So it's been the best year of the career of FTR.
10:24The best year of the career of Aussie Open.
10:28Good on good here.
10:30Roll the ball out.
10:31Let's see who comes out as champs.
10:33Yes Eddie Mitchell.
10:34Respect being shown in Dax Harwood.
10:36Showing respect to Aussie Open as did Cash.
10:40And kind of saying well hey the future does belong to you guys.
10:43No doubt.
10:44It's just not your time yet.
10:54And while they were in England.
10:55They were playing their wares.
10:56Hold up in a shabby apartment in Midlands and venturing down.
11:00Been traveling all over Europe.
11:02Fighting every team possible.
11:04Aussie Open continue to get better.
11:06The tag now Cash Wheeler is in.
11:18And always for them the plan for both Mark Davis and Carl Fletcher.
11:26Was eventually Japan.
11:28Was eventually New Japan Pro Wrestling.
11:30England was a fine destination.
11:33Fine place to grow.
11:34A fantastic place to grow and hone your craft.
11:37They wanted to be in Japan.
11:39They wanted badly to be in World Tag League in 2019.
11:42And that was not to be.
11:44Now finally strong Openweight champions.
11:47They'll be in Osaka November the 5th in action.
11:51And they want to do it with not just the Strong Openweight Tag Titles.
11:55But the IWGP Tag Titles as well.
11:58Rich Uzzuno the official here.
12:00Call for a clean break.
12:02Fletcher technically clean break.
12:04Applying the side headlock.
12:21Okada roll blocked.
12:23Beautiful fireman's carry takeover by Cash Wheeler.
12:26Follows up with the arm drag and he'll borrow the left arm.
12:31It says wrestling on the marquee.
12:33And tag team wrestling at its finest.
12:36With FTR.
12:38U-Ha! FTR! U-Ha! FTR! U-Ha! FTR! U-Ha! FTR!
12:48And Dunkzilla Mark Davis gets a drop toehold for his troubles.
12:55Max Harwood getting tagged in.
12:58Davis backing away.
13:00It's a great drop by Mark Davis to create space.
13:02And not allow himself to be controlled in the FTR corner.
13:08Of course with Fletcher it's athleticism, speed, high flying skill.
13:13For Mark Davis it's power.
13:15Raw power.
13:16An indefensible set of skills.
13:23And here's Fletcher.
13:24Indescribable set of skills.
13:29And he's come back from the knee.
13:31Bigger and badder.
13:36Certainly and you look at Dax and you can see.
13:39The evidence is right there with that brace on the right knee.
13:43The evidence is on the chest of Dax.
13:46He turned away from the ropes and his chest has been split open by Mark Davis.
13:51Oh my goodness.
13:54Oh my goodness.
14:18Blood is flowing freely down the chest of Harwood as he now.
14:23And there's some power right there.
14:26Oh no.
14:28More evidence.
14:29Davis is bleeding from his chest.
14:40Is that?
14:41Is that blood? Davis' blood?
14:42That's Davis' blood.
14:44Both men bleeding from their chests.
14:47After chopping the hell out of one another.
14:54FTR! FTR! FTR!
14:58FTR! FTR! FTR!
15:00And Fletcher is going to join the welt club here if not careful.
15:04Snap suplex.
15:05Harwood now.
15:07Floats over leg drop and he'll go for a cover.
15:12One of the best things FTR does is they control the ring.
15:16They cut the ring off in half which is so.
15:18It's such a cliche in wrestling.
15:20But they truly do it.
15:23Look at the way Wheeler positions himself.
15:25Between Davis in the corner.
15:27You'll see little things.
15:29And little things that FTR does no other team does.
15:38Things that I used to see quite frequently when I was growing up.
15:42But some of that has been left to the side in tag team wrestling.
15:46And now.
15:47Aussie Open taking advantage.
15:49Of course in the United Empire.
15:51The Great Okan accompanying them to the ring.
15:53Wheeler fighting out of the hostile territory.
15:59And obviously the Great Okan would love to see.
16:02Aussie Open take those titles for the United Empire.
16:07It was Jeff Cobb and the Great Okan at Forbidden Door.
16:11Part of the three way match.
16:13Winner take all.
16:14Fletcher with the save.
16:16Great stuff.
16:17That's something that Aussie Open do superbly.
16:20And Carl Fletcher knowing Mark Davis was in trouble.
16:23Pulling him out of the way.
16:26It's a different environment to be in.
16:30Dax wanted more.
16:32Hold that thought.
16:33Oh no.
16:38And you see the power.
16:39And part of that I believe.
16:42The added muscle.
16:43Why it's so important to Carl Fletcher.
16:45You're tag team wrestling in the UK.
16:47And when you're on the independents.
16:48Not just in Red Brew.
16:49But in a lot of rings across the world.
16:52Everything in the UK.
16:54Is so centered on the old.
16:56Still a lot of old rings.
16:58A lot of rings from the old TV days.
17:00The old world of sport days.
17:0214 by 14.
17:03Sometimes 12 by 12 rings.
17:05You can't cut off the ring.
17:07Like an American tag team can.
17:09So it's very important.
17:10To have the power.
17:12To keep your other guy grounded.
17:14Because a little bit of distance.
17:16And that's a tag right there.
17:17And the way you add to the real estate.
17:19Is to take the match outside to the floor.
17:23FTR really looks to keep it within the confines.
17:26Of the ring.
17:28But Ozzy opened expanding that real estate.
17:34And this crowd is just.
17:35They're loving this.
17:36They're loving every second of it.
17:38And how could you not?
17:40Hands up!
17:41Hands up!
17:42Hands up!
17:43It was at Forbidden Door where.
17:47Cash Wheeler.
17:48Dax Harwood.
17:49Winning the.
17:52IWGP Heavyweight Tag Team titles.
17:54To join the ROH titles.
17:56They already held.
17:58Of course it was.
17:59Rocky Romero.
18:01And Trent Barretta.
18:03Who were the third team.
18:05And actually.
18:06Were the team that was beaten.
18:08So Kab and Okan.
18:09Lost the belts to FTR.
18:11Without being pinned or submitted for them.
18:14It's a real personal issue.
18:16With the United Empire here.
18:19Yeah I think it's a personal issue.
18:22That Cash Wheeler and Dax Harwood.
18:24I think if they had their own way.
18:26The problem of winning these championships.
18:29And all these promotions.
18:30Is that.
18:31Oh no.
18:32You're a slave to a lot of different masters.
18:34I think perhaps if Dax and Cash had their own way.
18:36They would be flying out all over the place.
18:39And defending those IWGP Tag Team Championships.
18:42Settling this issue with Jeff Cobb and Great Okan.
18:45In short order.
18:46But.
18:48They've got to answer to the mighty boss tone.
18:51At a certain point.
18:52And he's a great promoter.
18:53And he knows.
18:54To protect a great tag team.
18:56Like FTR.
18:57And keep them on his program.
18:59And one of the things that of course.
19:01You know FTR has.
19:03Been I think.
19:04The victim of.
19:05Victim of their success.
19:06And it's hard for them to get matches.
19:08Here's a cover.
19:09And a kick out at two.
19:10Mark Davis did a beautiful job.
19:12Of cutting off Cash Wheeler.
19:14Preventing the tag to Dax Harwood.
19:16And then.
19:17Reasserting.
19:18The control of Aussie Open.
19:20Like we talked about.
19:21With Shoto Umino.
19:23And Will Ospreay.
19:24And the comfort level.
19:26At wrestling a Will Ospreay match.
19:28It seems like Aussie Open is very content.
19:31Wrestling an FTR style tag match.
19:34Because they are so skilled.
19:35Was there a tag?
19:36Yes there was.
19:45Oh no.
19:46Dax didn't want to break down.
19:47They're going for it.
19:48Takayama in the corner.
19:50And that brings Davis.
19:51Over.
19:52Davis.
19:54Getting Harwood.
19:55Bouncing him off the railing.
19:57You see the blood on the chest.
20:04Aussie Open.
20:05FTR.
20:06Aussie Open.
20:07FTR.
20:08Aussie Open.
20:09FTR.
20:10Eagleman in the ring.
20:13Fletcher trying to get a tag.
20:17Cash Wheeler.
20:18Low center of gravity.
20:19Great amateur background.
20:21Able to pop those hips.
20:23And put Fletcher down with the suplex.
20:26You have those blows.
20:27Fletcher landed on Dax in the backhand.
20:29Paying off there.
20:30Paying dividends.
20:31Oh no.
20:32That's sense on missing though.
20:34Yeah.
20:35Going to the well for the third time.
20:37Coming up empty.
20:38And a fourth.
20:39And again missing.
20:40It worked early for Davis.
20:41A couple of occasions.
20:42And now.
20:43Harwood crawling back up to the corner.
20:45Fletcher.
20:46Oh my god.
20:47Right in the face.
20:48Fletcher.
20:49Fletcher.
20:50Fletcher.
20:51Fletcher.
20:52Fletcher.
20:53Fletcher.
20:54Fletcher.
20:55Right in the face.
20:57Fantastic presence for Fletcher.
20:59But that's Endesigo getting the best of him.
21:03Channing switch.
21:04Another back suplex.
21:05No.
21:06This time catapults forward.
21:16Calling for his partner.
21:17Dax down.
21:18Got wiped out.
21:19Yeah.
21:20Calling for the play here.
21:21Cash realizing it's going to have to be a solo effort.
21:24Oh, eff it.
21:25Watch out now.
21:26Oh, this is so, so dangerous.
21:30You cannot see where you're landing.
21:32Oh, it's from so high.
21:35And it was at Forbidden Door when FTR
21:43became the double champions that Dax Harwood
21:48had to leave the ring.
21:50Fear was, is that he had either separated
21:52or dislocated his shoulder.
21:53Hell, he might have.
21:55But they were able to come out.
21:56And now the tag, the wave from Davis.
22:00Davis is there.
22:02Oh, oh, and this could be it.
22:07Beautiful, brain buster, this is it.
22:09Oh, and a kick out from Wheeler.
22:13What perfect, perfect timing for Mark Davis.
22:33It wouldn't shock me to see Davis
22:36put a hold on Wheeler here.
22:38Grind him down, control him.
22:41You gotta weaken Wheeler.
22:43Fletcher needs a little bit of time.
22:46They're not set for Coriolis just yet, their finisher.
22:51Bludgeoning Cash Wheeler with chops.
22:54Dax Harwood has been neutralized over in the red corner
22:57on a couple of occasions.
22:59He's just slow to get up.
23:00Wheeler answers, what an uppercut for him.
23:07And the tag to Fletcher, the tag to Fletcher.
23:10Again, again, again.
23:11He will prevent the tag again.
23:14Uno is there, he can see it.
23:16They're so close, he can't get the tag.
23:19Just can't get the tag.
23:21Oh, he did it.
23:23And here we go.
23:31And the Asheville, North Carolina native
23:35shoots the inside cradle in.
23:41O'Connor roll, O'Connor roll, two.
23:45Spring, second rope, crossbody.
23:47Three different pinning combinations.
23:49Will this lead to victory?
23:50No.
23:58And again, it was Fletcher who was weakened.
24:04Davis, probably the fresher of the two,
24:07but Fletcher's the legal man.
24:10Davis in to break up the momentum of Hartwood.
24:16Davis won't go down.
24:24Swing and a miss.
24:27Oh, and Davis, oh my God, ripped out of his boots.
24:31What a clothesline by Derex Hartwood.
24:3315 minutes gone.
24:38Standing switch, another quick one by Hartwood.
24:41Each man trying to jockey for position inside cradle,
24:43this time from Fletcher.
24:49German, oh no, set for the ride.
24:52And Dex will hold on to Carl Fletcher.
24:58Oh, Fletcher's eyes looking a little bit glassy.
25:02It might just take one more.
25:04Going for the hat trick.
25:11Look at that, a little leap frog.
25:14Leads to the trifecta.
25:20It was a team that would call themselves
25:22the world's greatest in FTR.
25:25And now in a position to do the same.
25:27Oh yeah, a little Haas and Benjamin influence,
25:30no doubt about it.
25:33A word between Fletcher and Davis, oh man.
25:43And up they go.
25:47Davis is the legal man too.
25:50And Hartwood rips that shoulder up.
25:52This is a spectacular tag team match, folks.
25:55It's for the IWGP Heavyweight Tag Team Championship.
25:58FTR, the champs, and the strong openweight champions,
26:02Aussie Open, their challengers.
26:13From the butterfly, watch out Fletcher.
26:15Wait a minute, Wheeler there to make the save of his partner.
26:21Oh, out goes Davis, out goes Fletcher.
26:22Oh, onto his own tag team partner.
26:26Why not?
26:35They'll dial up the high risk when needed,
26:38and Cass Wheeler did it right there.
26:45Listen to the 21-37 in Crystal Palace.
26:5027-37 in Crystal Palace.
27:06Bouncing Fletcher into the edge of the ring.
27:14Spine first goes Wheeler.
27:18And the match now breaking down on the floor.
27:22Ooh, head first into the ring post.
27:25Head first into the ring post goes Mark Davis.
27:28And we spoke before, not like a normal New Japan ring post.
27:31There's a square ring post with sharp edges
27:34could easily split the head open of Davis.
27:37Whoa, whoa, whoa, wait a minute, wait a minute.
27:38Oh no, but it's Dax Hartwood who's split wide open.
27:48And that lighting truss had to have done all the more
27:57to open up a wound that's pouring blood
28:01on one half of the IWGP Tag Team Champions.
28:07All right, so we'll get a look at,
28:10yeah, a cut right above the eye, above the left eye.
28:18And again, that could have happened at any time,
28:21but once he hit that lighting truss, that eye went split.
28:30And now trying to fire back,
28:34but some of the fire has been taken out of those strikes.
28:42Oh my God.
28:44And Hartwood's right eye, that's going to affect his vision.
28:51And look at the strength of Mark Davis.
28:58The airplane spin.
29:01Oh, blood shooting like a lawn sprinkler
29:05as he hits the mat, two almost new champs.
29:09Aussie Open has yet to go to Japan,
29:13but they could walk in to Osaka on November the 3rd
29:18as the IWGP Heavyweight Tag Team Champions held.
29:21Oh my God.
29:22Same for MTR.
29:24Oh my God, Red Shoes Uno stopped our last match.
29:29But Shota Umino, he might have to think
29:32if Dax Hartwood stays in the ring much longer
29:34than he did in the last match.
29:36He might have to think if Dax Hartwood
29:37stays in the ring much longer.
29:39He's losing a lot of blood, Kevin.
29:43And again, that eyebrow being split.
29:48A lot of that blood going into his right eye.
29:53They couldn't get it before.
29:54They're going to get it now.
29:56They're going to get it now.
29:57Wait a minute, again.
29:59The diving leap, and look at this now.
30:02Slingshot, Powerbomb.
30:04Slingshot, Powerbomb, double pin.
30:07Beat them both, went on almost.
30:15Again, the influence of Tully Blanchard,
30:18the slingshot suplex.
30:20Hartwood taking it up a level with the slingshot,
30:23sit down, Powerbomb.
30:28Now this is where the communication of MTR takes place.
30:32We talk about that unspoken bond with LIJ
30:36and what they're able to execute.
30:37A simple nod from Hartwood,
30:39all that Wheeler needed to get in position
30:44for what they plan next.
30:47Oh, what is this now?
30:48It's a dangerous spot, though.
30:50They're going for the old power and glory move.
30:53Yeah, but from the challenger's corner.
30:57Had to say a slight up force there from Dax.
31:02All right, so attack.
31:03Attack, so Davis is legal.
31:05Davis and Hartwood are the legal men again.
31:11Hartwood's right eye being lacerated,
31:13and now it looks like Aussie Open
31:15is going to try the exact same thing, Chris.
31:18Yeah, that's exactly right, and here we go.
31:22Down goes Dax, up the top goes Kyle.
31:25Oh no, under the knees of Hartwood.
31:27Oh no, it's the knees of Kyle.
31:30Wheeler stayed home, saw what they were trying,
31:33knew there would be an opportunity perhaps on Davis,
31:36took advantage, drilled over the top.
31:39Oh, it's sent into his own pocket.
31:42Here we go, backside, nice and slow.
31:44Oh no.
31:49Piledriver, no.
31:54274 pounds of Mark Davis going up that.
31:57Oh no, over the top, trying for a sunset flip.
32:02Get it right back.
32:03Where's partner, where's my corner?
32:06All times aware.
32:08Spike, piledriver, got him.
32:12Davis down.
32:15Wheeler, legal, Fletcher diving save.
32:24And they are on their feet.
32:26Look at this crowd, evenly split.
32:34These fans realized it was good on good.
32:38We were seeing the best against the best
32:41in tag team wrestling, and that's exactly what we've seen.
32:56Come on, come on.
32:59An answer by Fletcher.
33:03So now I'm trying to remember who the legal men were.
33:06I believe, I believe it's Mark Davis.
33:12And Cash, I believe, yeah, Cash Wheeler.
33:15Is it?
33:16It was the tag, Spike Piledriver.
33:18Yes, it was the tag, Spike Piledriver.
33:20So the legal men are in the ring.
33:21And now of course, Fletcher getting
33:23one of those tag team titles.
33:26This match is taking rather a different turn.
33:33Is this a play of frustration,
33:35or is Carl Fletcher thinking one move ahead here?
33:37He's trying to set a trap.
33:39Harwood realizing it too.
33:43He got caught, he got caught.
33:45Rifted and saved.
33:49Opportunistic taking advantage of the situation.
33:53Leads to a near fall.
33:56Fletcher's gonna go for broke.
33:58Again, up in that neutral corner.
34:00Which way does he go, though?
34:01Does he go to Cash, or would he go to Dax?
34:11And so smart to take out Dax Harwood,
34:15because that leaves now finally, third time's the charm.
34:18One, two, and Wheeler kicks out.
34:24Fletcher can't believe it, neither can I.
34:2625 minutes gone, 25 minutes gone.
34:30Chris Cholman and I are sitting here, jaws agape,
34:35at the match that we are witnessing.
34:38And we're the only two people that are sitting down.
34:43As all of Crystal Palace,
34:44as all of Crystal Palace has been on their feet
34:47since about the 15 minute mark for this match.
35:15And a power of Mark Davis, Fletcher's in position.
35:18But Wheeler again, slipping out from behind.
35:21Retreating to the red corner.
35:26Oh, beautiful, gory bomb.
35:31Kick Davis away, go for the cover, two.
35:33So smart, and so close to a three.
35:37It's getting to the point now, Kevin,
35:39where none of it perhaps is pretty.
35:42It's just whatever you can do,
35:44anytime you can create a three second opportunity,
35:48all four of these men are gonna take it.
35:52And Wheeler, of course, now getting the alert
35:55from Harwood in the corner.
36:01Davis down on the floor.
36:02Fletcher in an incredibly weakened state.
36:06All right, so the tag, a little communication.
36:08Are they aware that Davis just got tagged in?
36:11Are they aware that there was a tag in the blue corner?
36:17And now a chance to taunt him.
36:21Carl Fletcher is, or Mark Davis rather,
36:24is split wide open as well.
36:27Wide open.
36:28Yeah, he got kicked,
36:30and that kick just busted him open.
36:38When Davis got kicked out of the ring,
36:41the boot of Wheeler must have caught him.
36:46Oh no.
36:48Well, Dax Harwood was talking about looking forward
36:53to coming to London and downing some beers
36:56in the pub after this match.
36:58But before he can get the rounds in,
37:00he's had to deal some live runs
37:02and take them as well in this one.
37:04You see the results.
37:11And back where we started.
37:13Bloodied, battered,
37:16but still beating the hell out of each other.
37:33Double leg.
37:34Oh, here we go.
37:35Here we go, sharpshooter.
37:37Fletcher knows it, tries to make the save and can't.
37:44Double sharpshooters.
37:48Fletcher screaming out in pain,
37:50but the focus is Davis.
37:52Davis is the legal man.
37:58And you hear, you can hear Fletcher screaming,
38:01pleading with Davis not to tap.
38:03Look at him trying to hold the handbag.
38:06Fletcher, yeah, Fletcher's holding the hand.
38:10Oh!
38:12Trying to fire it up his whole corner,
38:14my God, with slaps across the face.
38:17I've never seen anything like that.
38:25How badly do you want to win?
38:27How badly do you want to be the IWGP Heavyweight Tag Team Champion?
38:31How badly do you want to be the IWGP Heavyweight Tag Team Title Champion?
38:34Slap the pants out of your own partner
38:37to prevent him from tapping out.
38:47This is what they paid a ticket for.
38:51And they're damn right with their chart.
38:54Here we go.
38:55Here we go.
38:57Set up for big rig.
38:58Fletcher takes care of it.
39:00Pulls him through.
39:02Davis opens up.
39:04Oh, man, a big rig for Mozzie Open.
39:06Big rig for Mozzie Open 2.
39:09Oh, my God.
39:21Cash with the save.
39:22Shove Carl Fletcher directly into the neck and head of Mark Davis.
39:29He might have a stinger.
39:30Greedo Khan doing what he can to try in the corner
39:37to revive the challengers.
39:49Mark Davis' blood has to be affecting his vision.
39:54FTR, FTR, FTR.
39:56The wound above Harwood's eye has closed,
40:00but one good shot could split it open again.
40:04FTR and Ozzy Open.
40:08Is there any doubt in anyone's mind, win or lose,
40:11whichever team comes out on top,
40:13that these are not two of the finest tag teams
40:16in the world today, two of the best you've ever seen?
40:23Oh, my God.
40:38Blood and sweat flies.
40:46Oh.
40:49Oh, Ozzy Open won't be denied.
40:51Coriolis, Coriolis, here we go.
40:54If they hit this, they're the champs.
40:56If they hit it, they win.
40:57Oh, but they won't, Kevin.
40:59Not yet. Win or cash, there's anything to do with it.
41:06Tag. Watch out.
41:12Oh, he got it.
41:14Oh, he got it.
41:20Big ring two.
41:22My God, FTR.
41:29Here are your winners,
41:32and still IWTP Tag Team Champions,
41:39Ross Wiener, Dax O'Hara, and T-Pain.
41:45That is as good a tag team match as I have ever seen.
41:53What a roller coaster.
41:57And as we're sat here, half a world away,
42:00in a studio in Japan, calling this match.
42:05I'm with all of the 2100 on their feet.
42:08In Crystal Palace.
42:38And now the presentation of the championship trophies,
42:43the titles.
43:05I'll tell you what, Dax,
43:08I'll tell you what, the eyes, the vision on Cash Wheeler,
43:11all match long.
43:13Counter, realizing.
43:16Harwood's in trouble, I've got to act and react.
43:20He literally had to be the eyes for Dax
43:23when he couldn't see, when blood was streaming
43:26into his vision.
43:29And Davis, of course, who got kicked square in the head.
43:33That split him open.
43:35Harwood's eye got split open.
43:38A bloody war of attrition.
43:43But Chris, I think we can say, this is just round one.
43:48Somewhere, at some point in time,
43:51there'll be another meeting between FTR and Aussie Open.
43:55Show me.
43:57Where are we doing it?
43:58Take my money.
43:59Save my money.
44:05That's three Batch of the Year candidates for FTR.
44:09Real quick, before this thing escalates, real quick.
44:13Shut the fuck up.
44:14Thank you, sir.
44:18This is the first time we have been overseas since 2019.
44:24And we thank you.
44:33And we thank you.
44:40Thank you for that.
44:41I can't thank you enough.
44:44Two things.
44:45First things first.
44:47Tony Connell, we still work for you.
44:49Book us, brother.
44:51Can't get a match in their whole promotion.
44:53Second thing, and most important, and seriously,
44:56I've said it on Twitter.
44:58These guys are the future of tag team wrestling.
45:03They're the now of tag team wrestling.
45:06All egotism to the side.
45:11All self-preservation to the side.
45:14They may be the best tag team today.
45:16I said that many times.
45:18Thank you, guys.
45:30Think about what you're about to do here, gentlemen.
45:34You represent New Japan as the strong openweight champions.
45:41All to the open.
45:44All to the open.
45:49Oh, great.
45:50Okan has some business here.
45:52Jeff Cobb.
45:58Let's make sure we understand one another.
46:00FTR undone with the United Empire.
46:05The United Empire will now move forward
46:09and look to challenge FTR.
46:11But with Cobb and Okan, a rematch from Forbidden Door.
46:18Chris, I told Dax at Forbidden Door,
46:22this is the first FTR match I get to call.
46:24This makes two.
46:25And if this is all I ever get to do
46:27for the rest of my career, I'd be satisfied.
46:29And you got the chance to see my wrestling world.
46:33You showed so much to me of Japanese history.
46:35This is what tag team wrestling is all about.
46:37Folks, that's going to do it.
46:38Night 1, Royal Quest 2.
46:40For Chris Charlton, I'm Kevin Kelly.
46:42We'll see you tomorrow, everybody.
