00:00As you know, for the past few years, the world has gone into a bit of a transformation.
00:05There's been lots going on, I'm not going to go into it, but it's kind of hurt pretty much every business,
00:12specifically small businesses like yours and mine.
00:15And, but what's happened actually with that transformation is everyone started working remotely.
00:21Now, that's been great for people like me, in a way,
00:27because obviously these people who work remotely actually need help,
00:31need the right tools, need the right resources to be able to work.
00:36Some companies, I'll remain nameless, haven't taken the advice of IT experts,
00:44who've given them the advice over the years of the just-in-case.
00:50They haven't taken that advice, they never do.
00:53The IT crowd is always in a basement, as you know.
00:58But now they're starting to realize, oh, by the way, digital transformation, working remotely is awesome.
01:03Now, there's been many companies, Basecamp is one of them, Daylight is another.
01:09God, it sounds like an advert.
01:11There's many companies that have worked remotely, and I'm not going to talk about Daylight and Basecamp,
01:16but they're the two that come to mind.
01:18They've worked remotely pretty much since the beginning.
01:21There are many other companies that have worked remotely from the beginning,
01:25without the past few years affecting them in any way.
01:31So, making sure that your tech is future-proof is vital for your business.
01:37Especially now, people are starting to realize that, oh God, that didn't work,
01:42and now I'm out of business, or I'm out of work, or I'm out of pocket.
01:45Oh no, I have to spend so much time trying to learn this new stuff really quickly,
01:51to actually carry on working.
01:53If you paid attention to people like me, and I'm not saying me specifically,
01:58but people like me, i.e. IT pros, consultants, you wouldn't have been in that position.
02:06So, please listen to what we say.
02:10We're not doing it to make money.
02:11Yes, we need money, obviously, to pay bills.
02:14I personally am not here to buy Ferraris.
02:16I've had good cars, and I just want to be able to give,
02:20we just want to be able to give you the right advice, so you can work remotely.
02:26Now, the pitfalls of working remotely is not having the right tools.
02:31That's the main issue.
02:32People just pick the wrong tools, and then they get frustrated,
02:35and say remote work isn't working for them.
02:38And again, there are people out there that can help you with that.
02:41So, seek the right person.
02:43Find the right person for your business.
02:46Get the right advice, so you won't be in that shit show again, basically.
02:53Hopefully, that helps.
