(Adnkronos) - “Quello del radiologo rappresenta uno snodo decisionale fondamentale non solo nella diagnosi, propedeutica all’individuazione della terapia migliore anche in ottica di terapie personalizzate, ma anche nella prevenzione secondaria di molti tumori e, ancora, nell’interventistica, cioè l’imaging che guida manovre interventistiche”. Sono le parole di Nicoletta Gandolfo, presidente eletto Sirm - Società italiana di radiologia medica e interventistica, parlando dell’evoluzione del ruolo del radiologo nel processo di diagnosi e trattamento a margine della conferenza stampa di presentazione di R-7 Radiology, il think tank che coinvolge le Società di radiologia dei Paesi del G7 allo scopo di promuovere la prevenzione e migliorare le cure in una sanità sostenibile. L’incontro internazionale di radiologia medica promosso da Sirm si svolgerà a Venezia dal 10 al 13 ottobre.
