The Moon and the Kite

The rhyme -Moon and the Kite.
The Kite expresses its wish to reach Moon and be its friend
Lyrics:
High in the sky on a windy night,
Flew a little red kite with all its might.
It danced and twirled, it soared so high,
Wishing one day it could touch the sky.
“I want to meet the moon up there,
With her silver light and her gentle glare.
She shines so bright, so calm, so white,
Oh, what I’d give for just one night!”
The moon looked down with a twinkling grin,
“Come closer, little one, let’s begin.
I’ll lend you my light, I’ll guide your string,
Together we’ll fly, and the stars will sing.”
The wind grew strong, the kite went far,
Up past the clouds, past the nearest star.
It reached the moon, and they danced all night,
The moon and her friend, the little red kite.
As dawn arrived and the sky turned blue,
The kite whispered softly, “Thank you, thank you.”
“I’ll always be here,” the moon said with a smile,
“Just look up, little kite, and stay awhile.”
Now each night when the wind takes flight,
The moon looks down for her little red kite.
And though it may rest, tied snug and tight,
It dreams of their dance in the starry night.
