The next three months are crucial for boosting your percentile and securing a spot in your dream B-school. In this edition of CAT Rahasya, we reveal the secrets to acing the CAT exam with a clear, actionable 90-day plan.
1. Day 1-30: Building a Strong Foundation
In the first 30 days, focus on revising fundamental concepts, identifying weak areas, and solidifying your basics.

Verbal Ability & Reading Comprehension (VARC):

Start with reading diverse materials: newspapers, editorials, and business magazines.
Practice RC passages daily. Aim to complete at least 2-3 passages each day.
Focus on vocabulary building through reading, flashcards, or apps.
Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning (DILR):

Solve basic DI sets and puzzles to build comfort with numbers and logic.
Identify common types of LR questions (arrangements, puzzles, Venn diagrams) and practice them regularly.
Quantitative Ability (QA):

Revise fundamental concepts in Arithmetic, Algebra, Geometry, and Number Systems.
Practice topic-wise questions to strengthen your understanding.
Aim to cover the basics of each QA section within the first 30 days.
Key Rahasya:
During this phase, the key is consistent practice. Focus on accuracy and clarity in concepts. It’s important to track your progress through topic tests or small quizzes to measure improvement.
. Day 31-60: Strategic Practice & Mocks
The next 30 days are all about putting your knowledge to test through strategic practice and full-length mock exams.

Mock Test Strategy:

Begin by taking a mock test once a week. Analyze your performance thoroughly to identify patterns in your strengths and weaknesses.
Focus on improving your speed and accuracy, especially in the areas where you're lagging.
Sectional Focus:

VARC: Continue daily RC practice, focusing on speed. Work on para-jumbles and odd-sentence questions.
DILR: Start attempting medium-difficulty sets and practice questions involving combinations of DI and LR.
QA: Move on to higher-level questions. Practice problem-solving with time-bound tests for each topic.
Key Rahasya:
Mock analysis is your secret weapon. After each test, spend at least 2-3 hours reviewing your errors and figuring out how to improve your accuracy. Create a detailed error log and track common mistakes to avoid them in future tests.
