00:00Talk about the regular season MVP, because for a while it was just one name, but now
00:07a second name has emerged.
00:09Joseph, take it from here.
00:11Yeah.
00:12Look, every year I always tell people I bet two people for MVP.
00:16Usually it's Patrick Mahomes and somebody else to start this thing.
00:19And then I watch it shrink and then decide whether or not I want to double down, cash
00:25out, figure that out.
00:27This year was the first time where I did not see anybody else that I really could make
00:30a case for.
00:31I wanted to let it play out a little bit.
00:33And now I'm jumping in the pool to somebody else for that number two, that hedge.
00:38And that person's Josh Allen.
00:40And there's a couple reasons why.
00:41You've seen Vegas move significantly.
00:43The Bills are 3-0, huge game coming up this weekend for them against the Ravens.
00:49But regardless if they win or lose, I think the Josh Allen narrative is an interesting
00:53one.
00:54Josh Allen is playing with kind of a no-name offense, right?
00:58We know Dalton Kincaid and Keon Coleman and Khalil Shakir and all those guys because we're
01:00fantasy nerds.
01:01But the general public does not know who these guys are.
01:03I'm telling you right now.
01:04If you went to the general football fan and say, what do you think of Khalil Shakir, they'd
01:07be like, who?
01:08I have no idea what you're talking about, right?
01:11And I think that is positive because it looks like Josh Allen is just literally taking this
01:16team, putting it on his shoulders and willing them to victory every week.
01:20And that's because he is.
01:22And the shot that he took on Stephon Diggs saying, it's nice to play with a bunch of
01:27guys who just don't care about the stats, they just care about winning, I think tells
01:30you that Josh Allen feels free.
01:33He feels loose.
01:34And if you look at this award for the last couple of years, it's been dominated by a
01:37couple of people, Patrick Mahomes and Lamar Jackson.
01:40Now, Lamar hasn't gotten off to the best start.
01:42Patrick Mahomes still has.
01:43It's why he's towards the top of this award still.
01:45But after Josh Allen and Patrick Mahomes, the next closest guy is CJ Stroud at plus
01:511,400.
01:53This is literally a two person race right now.
01:55Now, if you want to tell me Jordan Love makes a run playing with this injury, okay, cool.
02:01I'm listening to that.
02:02I think you can write a script for that.
02:05If you want to tell me the script of, hey, Sam Darnold and the Vikings with his defense
02:10when the division comes out of nowhere, he's plus 2,800.
02:13That's fun.
02:14But do we really think that the media is going to vote for Sam Darnold for MVP?
02:18I don't.
02:19Josh Allen and Patrick Mahomes, I think, are the great separators right now for this award.
02:25It's not to say that Lamar can't get back in it.
02:28It's not to say that a fun story like Jordan Love at plus 4,500 right now isn't worth a
02:35sprinkle just to see, because I think it's too early to rule him out.
02:40Joe Burrow, I mean, that would have to be a massive comeback, but Joe Burrow right now
02:44on this award is plus 2,000.
02:47So plus 4,500 for Jordan Love is a fascinating long shot.
02:51But right now is the time to jump in on Josh Allen, because guess what?
02:55If he does beat Lamar Jackson, this number is going to be very different come Tuesday
03:01morning.
