00:07because one guy wasn't getting the job done and another guy was. You have a big
00:11game out of Oklahoma versus Auburn today and it was the job for Jackson Arnold. It
00:18was no longer his job. He got taken out last week early for Hawkins Jr. to go in
00:22and then he was the guy today to help his team overcome Auburn. Auburn's been
00:27struggling with turnovers and it was one crucial turnover. It turned into 63
00:30yard pick six to help the Sooners get in the lead and take over that game. What
00:35did we see between Oklahoma and Auburn? Boomer, Sooner. It was a
00:41late rally there for Oklahoma to get the score over the Tigers. They get the win
00:4527 to 21 outscoring them 17 to 7 there in that fourth and final. In terms of the
00:52recap, it was that big interception there for Kip Lewis. 61 yards for the
00:58game-winning touchdown. That was obviously going to be the highlight, the
01:01standout performance there for Michael Hawkins Jr. He looked all right.
01:06I'd say the better quarterback play probably came from the Tigers there on
01:09that side of things with Peyton Thorne. He looked really strong with three
01:13passing touchdowns, 338 passing yards. But for Oklahoma, they absolutely needed
01:19this win. They now carry on to 4-1 to start the season. 1-1 in
01:24conference play. The run game, they never really got that side of
01:28things going. It just felt like it was a real back-and-forth kind of affair. No
01:33one really wanted to step up and take this game. For Oklahoma, they
01:36absolutely need to hit that go button. For Auburn, they went off one and a half
01:41point favorite. So this is not good. They don't get the win straight up. They don't
01:44cover. It wasn't home down there at Jordan-Hare Stadium and that total was set at
01:4843.5. So a couple more points than projected by the odds makers.
01:52But for Oklahoma, they're gonna have to build from this one. It was good without
01:56being fantastic, but they still have to be better. And for the Auburn Tigers, this
02:00certainly was the one that got away in their ballpark. That's gonna sting for a
02:05minute.
