00:00There are four ranked versus ranked matchups on Saturday, but
00:07none even hold a candle. None are bigger than what we will see
00:11under the lights inside Bryant Denny Stadium in Tuscaloosa,
00:14Alabama. Number two Georgia on the road against number four
00:19Alabama and Zeno. Of course, we must start with the spread. It
00:22is two and a half points in favor of the dogs, which would
00:26mean the tide our home underdogs for the first time
00:30since November of 2007, snapping a consecutive streak
00:35of 113 home games for Alabama as that home favorite is the
00:41line correct. Does it feel fitting to see UGA as a road
00:45favorite in Tuscaloosa? Yes, just because of Georgia's
00:50dominance in the regular season, I mean 42 consecutive
00:52ruins during the regular season over some pretty good
00:55opponents along the way and certainly when you look at this
00:57season, they have the better strength of schedule. I know
01:00we don't think much of Clemson and what happened, you know it
01:03to them, but they've turned it around and even Kentucky to a
01:06certain extent. You know when you look at the comparison
01:08between the two teams, clearly Georgia has played better
01:10defenses along the way in the Wildcats and in the Clemson
01:14Tigers, whereas you know Alabama's head west of
01:17Kentucky in a really bad Wisconsin defense. It's not
01:20anywhere near what it used to be and then you bring in USF
01:23into the equation. So look, this is a spot here where we
01:27want to try to naturally throw a lot of things out the window
01:30just simply because Nick Saban is gone, but you're bringing
01:33Kalen DeBoer who oh by the way in his coaching tenure here
01:38seven and three straight up and eight and two ATS as a dog
01:42including four in our straight up and ATS as a dog or fewer
01:45than four points. He's very good at winning close games.
01:48Bama's gone seven and one against the number with with
01:51rest off a road win, and I think this is a spot here for
01:54Alabama where ultimately the game's going to come down to
01:57one thing here and that's Jalen Miller's ability to throw
02:00the ball deep and his deep ball accuracy. If you go back to
02:03that championship game in the SEC, it was one or two of those
02:06plays that ultimately change the change the tide for the
02:09tide by completing those deep downfield shots, and I'm not
02:12sure that Georgia necessarily has an answer for that at this
02:15point in time as good as they've been across the board.
02:18There are some weaknesses here. I know this is personal
02:21for UGA as they again were eliminated from the college
02:24football playoff in the SEC championship loss, but I just
02:28think Alabama has too much. I mean Jalen Miller was really
02:31starting to come into his own. I like the tide here. I'd play
02:35him on the money line. If this thing hangs around two and a
02:37half though, I'd take the two. Why not if I if two and a half
02:41across the I take the two or one and a half. I just play the
02:44money line and not really sweat it. Look for a little bit of
02:46plus money.
