00:00We are still together on MEDIEN-TV, thank you for remaining faithful to us, here are
00:20the headlines of your daily.
00:22In the Middle East, Israel, which does not exclude a terrestrial intervention in Lebanon,
00:27today led to new air strikes against Hezbollah, of which the head of the drone unit was killed
00:34yesterday in Zored, Israel.
00:38This Friday marks the second day of the 11th Consultative Meeting of the Senan-Shura Association
00:45and Equivalent Council of Africa and the Arab World, a meeting chaired by Morocco.
00:50It opened yesterday in the Equatorial Capital, Guinea-Bissau, Malabar.
00:55It was one of the campaign promises of President Bassirou Dioumaéfeu in Senegal, his Prime
01:02Minister, Ousmane Sonko, addressed yesterday to the state of the economic situation of the
01:08country.
01:09The charges against the old regime are numerous.
01:12In the Middle East, Israel, which does not exclude a terrestrial intervention in Lebanon,
01:24today led to new air strikes against Hezbollah, of which the head of the drone unit was killed
01:31yesterday in Zored, Israel.
01:33The pro-Iranian movement resists by rocket launchers.
01:37Israel, whose strikes have so far killed more than 700 people in Lebanon, continues
01:42to ignore the calls of its allies to put out the fire, while its Prime Minister, Benyamin
01:47Netanyahu, must speak today in front of the UN in New York.
01:52And for Agnès Levallois, Vice President of the Institute for Research and Mediterranean
02:01Studies, Israel is doing the hard work with a war goal in mind, to end it with Hezbollah.
02:08Together, we listen to it.
02:09For Israel, it is about going to the end of the operation that he has launched now for
02:14more than a week, which consists, according to his words, of ending it with Hezbollah,
02:21as he had declared he wanted to end it with Hamas.
02:24We see Israel, which is in a logic of going to the end of what he considers to be his
02:29war objectives, and in this context, he absolutely does not intend to accept to put out the fire.
02:37All the more so, and you reminded it in your words, that the destruction and the bombings
02:43are important today against Lebanon, whether it is the south, but also more inside the
02:49lands and up to the capital.
02:51And so Israel considers that it is in a position of force, that Hezbollah is still seriously
02:59weakened after these various attacks, which started with the attacks on the Bipers and
03:05the Tokimokis, which put the entire chain of command in difficulty, since the communication
03:11between all those responsible was damaged.
03:15And so Israel today feels in a position of force on the ground, and that is the reason
03:20why he absolutely does not want to hear about putting out the fire.
03:24And the other reason, which is also a reason that makes it possible to understand this position,
03:31is that the ministers within the government, the ministers who represent the far right,
03:36and who support the coalition, because if they leave, Netanyahu falls, these far-right
03:43ministers consider that it is absolutely not necessary to negotiate, and they have already
03:48threatened to leave, to undermine the governmental coalition, if Netanyahu accepts a ceasefire.
04:19for whom Morocco is a very stable partner in the region.
04:23Kaspar Veldkamp met yesterday with his Moroccan counterpart, Nasser Bourita, as part of the
04:29UN General Assembly.
04:32Morocco, as a stable partner, has good students in the fight against violent extremism.
04:38The Kingdom and the United Nations Office for the Fight Against Terrorism held their first
04:46strategic dialogue session, a dialogue co-chaired by the head of Moroccan diplomacy and the
04:53president of this UN department.
04:55Their partnership is part of Morocco's broader commitment to contribute to the multilateral
05:02framework of the fight against terrorism, in line with the high orientations of His Majesty
05:07the King Mohammed VI.
05:09Moroccan diplomacy continues to shine since the beginning of this week of the 79th session
05:17of the UN General Assembly.
05:19Today, what are Morocco's major diplomatic issues?
05:23What is the response with dear Kawi Rodany, an expert in international relations and geostrategy?
05:30Of course, Morocco has participated brilliantly in several extraordinary meetings.
05:37I am talking about non-aligned countries, for example.
05:40It is a multilateral platform that allows to discuss several issues of international dimension.
05:50In particular, Morocco shone on the question of the Palestinian cause.
05:54The Moroccan delegation set up the roadmap initiated by His Majesty at the time of the
06:03throne, when he said that today, trying to manage the crisis is not a solution, but finding
06:10a political solution is very important.
06:12Moreover, Morocco has participated in what is called the Paris Pact for the peoples and
06:19the planet.
06:20It is a very, very important platform.
06:22And today, I think Morocco is starting to play a very important role in this platform
06:28because it is designing a global strategy for the African continent.
06:33Let's not forget that Morocco, in all its speeches, in all its actions at the level
06:39of its meetings, so on the eve of this 69th session of the UN General Assembly, has put
06:49Africa at the heart of its discussions.
06:52Africa is starting to play a very important role at the international level.
06:55And I think today that Morocco offers sustainable, sustainable solutions for the African continent.
07:02I think today of His Majesty's initiative to join the Afro-Atlantic countries in the
07:08geostrategy of the Atlantic, or to open the Atlantic space to the Sub-Saharan African countries,
07:13which has been discussed with several delegations, and even with Denmark and Italy.
07:19With Italy, there was a discussion on the strategy of Matti concerning green hydrogen
07:26and also concerning the strategy of developing renewable energies at the national level.
07:34So I think today we are really in a strategy, in a global strategy, to put in place several
07:40initiatives that allow the African continent to find its aura and also to find its balance.
07:47Moreover, it must be said, geopolitically speaking, everyone today is looking for how
07:52Africa is going to orient itself, is it going to orient itself towards the East or towards
07:56the West, in what is called, the antagonism exists between what is called the Global South
08:03or the Global North.
08:06And so I think today, Morocco has shone, it has put in place several points that are
08:13very important for its strategy concerning food security, which has become a question
08:20especially with climate change, with also questions that are very important in the
08:25fight against terrorism.
08:26Moreover, there was a strategic meeting between the Kingdom of Morocco and the Bureau of
08:33Counterterrorism, which is a very important meeting.
08:38This Friday, as I told you in the titles, marks the second day of the eleventh
08:43consultative meeting of the Association of Senan, Shura and Equivalent Councils of Africa
08:48and the Arab World.
08:49This meeting was held yesterday in the Equatorial Capital of Guinea, Malabo.
08:54It was presided over by the Moroccan in person of Enam Mahera, President of the Chamber
08:58of Councilors, also at the head of the CECA.
09:02This meeting aims to strengthen the action and the parliamentary cooperation between
09:08the countries of the South, in order to face the technological, environmental and development
09:14challenges in an international context marked by multidimensional and successive crises.
09:20The United States, the European Union, France and Germany are worried about foreign interference
09:27in Sudan and call for an immediate ceasefire in this country, where air strikes and
09:34artillery fire shook the capital yesterday.
09:38The war has caused tens of thousands of deaths so far.
09:42In front of the UN General Assembly, the head of the army and de facto leader of Sudan,
09:47General Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, called for the militia, I quote, rebel, to be designated
09:53as a terrorist group, accusing the FSR of hindering peace efforts.
09:59It was one of the campaign promises of President Bassirou Dioumae Faye in Senegal, his Prime
10:06Minister, Ousmane Sonko, addressed yesterday, in light of the economic situation of the
10:11country, the charges against the old regime are numerous.
10:15Back on the main lines of this transparency hearing presented yesterday with Regis Mokila
10:21and Shehnaou.
10:23Six months after taking power, the new authorities wanted to present the final report
10:28of the State of the Finances of the Senegalese Republic.
10:31The head of the government draws up a slightly dazzling picture of the outgoing regime.
10:36Between corruption and financial corruption, 605 billion francs CFA used and not found
10:42in the accounts, or the transmission of false information to benefit from the withdrawal
10:47of 1,800 billion francs CFA.
10:50The authorities that we have replaced have lied to the country and have lied to the partners.
10:57By falsifying the public figures, by giving wrong data, in this case the public deficit
11:08which is double what has been announced during all this time, the public debt which is ten
11:20points higher than what has been announced.
11:24And consistently from 2019 to 2023.
11:32These alarming figures are accentuated by the situation of the central government debt
11:36at the end of the year 2023.
11:38A debt that rises to 15,664 billion francs CFA, or 83% of GDP, thus exceeding nearly
11:462 billion of the figures announced.
11:49The objective of the current authorities is to bring back the state debt below 70% of
11:55GDP in a reasonable period of time.
11:59The most important thing for the signing of a country is the trajectory.
12:03The trajectory of this debt that will be reduced and the credibility of those who are committed
12:11to reducing this debt in a sustainable way and which is, let's say, favorable to a
12:19healthy and prosperous economy.
12:23All these acts will not remain unpunished if we believe them to be the guard of the
12:27bones.
12:28Investigations will be carried out and the responsibilities will be placed.
12:32The facts will be debunked in a particularly transparent, clear and objective way.
12:38The responsibilities placed and the people likely to have committed contrary or infractions
12:48with the criminal law will suffer all the consequences.
12:53After making the state the place of Senegalese public finances, Ousmane Sonko and his government
12:59will meet on October 7, the date on which the project will be declined, which constitutes
13:06the new benchmark of Senegal's economic, social and environmental policies on the
13:12horizon 2025-2050.
13:14Only a few days after the murderous floods that occurred in Morocco, the government
13:18has, in application of the Royal High Instructions, launched a program of rehabilitation of
13:24sinister areas in the southeast of the kingdom, to know a little more, following this story
13:30of Soheil Jalil.
13:52les provinces Tarachidia, Midelt, Ouarzazate, Tinrir, Zagora, Figig, Jrada, Tcharoudant,
