00:07end zone and it's Michigan State and jump full freestyle starfish into the band. I mean,
00:13what's going through your brain like because you didn't have a chance to slow down. And
00:17I imagine that was the issue. But you're like, you know what, might as well just swan dive
00:21here into the band. I mean, what are your memories for that moment? Yeah, I just remember
00:26was pretty tight game. And Jimmy Clawson throws me a beautiful like moonshot go ball.
00:34And my body clock is, you know, going off a man, I got to be pretty close to the inline
00:38of the end zone. But in college, you only need one foot down. So I catch the ball get
00:43one foot down. And I have about probably three yard three or four yards before like you got
00:49the entire Michigan State band sitting right there. And I remember seeing like, I don't
00:54know what, what, I don't remember what instrument she played. It might have been like a clarinet
00:59or tuba or whatever. But I remember seeing this little girl, just like, frightened, like
01:07she's like, Oh, crap. And I got, you know, fast thinking me, I just like, okay, well,
01:13I guess it makes sense to land on top of many people versus to run this little girl over
01:19while I have these pads on. So I swan dive, jump up in the air. I'm looking down. And
01:25next thing you know, the Michigan State band go like, out of the way, and I land on nothing
01:29but plastic chairs.

01:32that's what we didn't see. That's what I didn't see. Yeah, I land on plastic chairs, but adrenaline
01:39got me I just scored a touchdown. I'm definitely hurting. But I played it off and I crawl up
01:44out of there like, yep, nothing's wrong here. We just scored a touchdown. And it became
01:50a legendary moment, I guess, for the rest of Notre Dame. Michigan State history rivalry
01:57and it will be shown for forever. And I love that people still ask me about it. And it's,
02:03you know, it's an amazing part to be a part of, you know, it's amazing to be a part of
02:08an historical school and have an historical moment, too. Yeah.
