00:00Northern Illinois has been an unreal underdog team in the
00:08last few seasons but not great under Thomas Hammock as a
00:13favorite. Just seven and eighteen against the spread.
00:15After the upset in South Bend and IU had the week off. They
00:19get ready for their MAC opener today against Buffalo. Thirteen
00:22and a half point spread Lacey Guy in favor of the Huskies.
00:25They're ranked twenty-third in the country now. Will they
00:28match the expectation? I think they will but again I like the
00:30points with Buffalo here. Buffalo typically plays
00:33northern very tough. These teams played in the MAC
00:35championship a few years ago. I like the Bulls in regards to
00:39the road. I think they can run it. I like the total here.
00:42Forty-three and a half I think is light. I think you're getting
00:44an over adjustment because it's a MAC opponent. Give me the
00:48over. I think we can get this game into the high forties,
00:50early fifties here. You know, this is an interesting spot
00:53with the fourteens all gone on Buffalo and maybe I should
00:55still take it at thirteen and a half. It's not just how bad
00:58hammock has been as a favorite. Yeah. But last year, they play
01:01two ranked opponents. The following weeks, they're over a
01:04field goal favorite at home. They lose both of those games
01:06outright. Two years ago, hung with Kentucky. The next week,
01:08they go to Ball State laying a number. They lose that game
01:11outright. 2021, they actually beat Georgia Tech with him. The
01:14following week, they're catching six and a half points
01:16from Wyoming. They lose that game. No cover. They gave up
01:19fifty points. Yeah. It's just not a spot they've been good in.
01:23Again, the one thing that's interesting with this slate
01:25though, Ben, a lot of these early buys. So, they kinda had
01:29a week to get it out of their system if you will which makes
01:33it a trickier spot to cap. Seven and eighteen against the
01:36spread as a favorite. That's it but twenty-one ten and one
01:40against the spread as an underdog. Buffalo this year
01:43both two and one straight up and ATS wins in both of their
01:46games as a favorite against Lafayette and against UMass.
01:50They were laying three in both of those.
