Is it time for the Dolphins to call around for a QB fix?
Barry Jackson reports Skylar Thompson couldn't dress himself after Sunday's loss due to rib injury. We continue to go over Skyler's performance, is there a fix for the Miami Dolphins? Pro Football Focus blamed the Dolphins QBs for 5 of the 6 sacks.

00:10So, the thing is, is I would like to, after, oh my goodness, so what I would like to do is,
00:24because a lot of times we get a little bit too excited over what we've seen on Sunday.
00:33So, I went back and looked at a couple of, you know, key moments in the game.
00:41And I would like to say that the offensive line was not as bad as it looked.
00:49It was Skylar.
00:49Because a lot of this goes hand in hand.
00:53And one of the things that Tua said that we all laughed at is very true.

01:07But it's more in lines of the way this operates when it is functioning well.

01:24if you've watched football this year, if you don't get rid of the ball quick,
01:29your quarterback's getting jacked up.

01:45But I do know that there was a lot of opportunities there.
01:51And a lot of chances that, for reasons, there was a play I watched where
01:58Scholar was looking at the receiver coming open.
02:03And the problem is, if you throw it when he's open, it's too late.

02:11And so you could see him going to pull the trigger and seeing him come open.

02:26Like, and the thing that I just found frustrating about is for a guy,
02:30I know that the one QB gets most of the reps, but Tua wasn't a contract
02:34dispute in OTAs and minicamp.
02:36I would have thought that would have been, yeah, I would have thought that
02:39I just would have thought that would have been a Skylar plan.
02:41And so I don't know if it's just him sucking and that could just be it.

02:47But I just would have thought Mike would have had him in better places to

03:47If you're a guy that holds on to the ball throughout your career, that's
03:52normally what you're going to be.
03:54I don't know how much you buy into the pro football focus thing because
03:56they got those hocus-pocus stats, but they did blame.

08:42quarterback not caring about pigs and being too careless, but
08:46at the same time you want him if he's looking in the right
08:50direction to make the damn throw.
08:52I just feel like you're going to do a game here and you still
08:57have the two best players on the field and you got to make
08:59him some kind of a threat.
09:00You got to make him at least you know what I would do once.
09:04I would line up Jalen Waddle and Tyreek on the same side of
09:08the ball.
09:09Now the way this becomes important is whoever's on the other
09:14side has to be a guy that can make a play one-on-one because
09:19they're going to take they're going to rotate.
09:21They're going to put safeties down.
09:23They're going to put a single you might get a single high safety
09:27with this look but on the backside, whoever that guy is is
09:31going to be one-on-one.
09:33And I just think that you need to just use them in different
09:38ways or or here's an interesting thought.
