00:21people have been questioning the origin story of this man and it it needed to be talked
00:26about just solely lies in a bed does nothing else and then yeah he pretends to be ill all
00:31day he lies in bed all day when really this man uh this was his plan all along wait can
00:37we get a little inside scoop as to what was the diabolical plan matt let's just put it
00:43this way one day he realizes that by doing nothing he can have the people around him
00:48do everything for him if he just acts really tired all the time and so his diabolical plan
00:53is basically to have everyone else in his family take care of every single need for
00:56him and then when charlie buckets years later uh goes to willy wonka's chocolate factory
01:03joe buckets is suddenly much better and is ready to go he just miraculously springs out
01:07of bed exactly exactly exactly it's like that's that in the movie sorry i was gonna say it's
01:12like reverse munchausen's you know i didn't think about that yeah yeah okay wait i'm feeling
01:17like anti joe right now i feel like you guys are selling me on it as you should this is
01:22definitely a takedown of joe um in a loving manner okay so tell us about your involvement
01:27with the film what was it like being a part of this whole process um it was amazing uh
01:31it's greg's idea the director and co-writer um and so he and i um kind of just wrote the
01:37idea because we thought it was so funny hearing about this for years how no one had ever addressed
01:41the origin story and so we just um uh wrote a little sketch that turned into a short film
01:47and then he slowly involved everyone else i'm just an actor well never just an actor
01:53exactly you bring the ideas to life so what do you hope audiences are going to leave feeling
02:00once they walk out of the theater uh hopefully they're uh laughing and uh question the origins
02:06of joe every time they watch charlie charlie and the chocolate factory in the future yeah
02:10we just want people to laugh yes it's a comedy yeah well i can't wait because i i'm dying
02:15to see you know the truth yeah the truth is out there out there yeah hey thank you
