00:00Answers Pet Food is voluntarily recalling some of their dog food.
00:04The company and the FDA announced this week that some of Answers products had tested positive
00:08for Salmonella and Listeria monocytogenes.
00:11The recall affected certain lots of detailed beef formula, straight beef formula, and straight
00:16chicken formula, listed here.
00:18The company also provided images of these products' packaging.
00:21The company said it was performing the recall out of an abundance of caution, as Listeria
00:25monocytogenes rarely causes illness in dogs, and only some species of Salmonella can get
00:30animals or people sick.
00:31So if you bought any of these recalled products, you probably don't have to panic.
00:35But the company recommends that the food be thrown out or destroyed in a way that children,
00:39pets, and wildlife cannot access it, and that areas that may have come in contact with any
00:44contaminated food should be sanitized.
00:46You can request a refund by sending a receipt and photos to info at answerspetfood.com.
