00:00Back on the show with Raymond Lochenko. Raymond is doing a concert again at November 23 Theatre
00:12at Solaire. The concert is Just Got Lucky and tickets are available at Ticket World.
00:17I really like that you didn't dye your hair. You know, I like it. As a friend, as a fan,
00:26I love it. I like my hair. You know, I'm really happy because I watch these really popular
00:30K-pop stars and they're so good looking, right? They're young, 20s, 30s, and you look at their
00:36hair, platinum. And I'm like, guys, you're doing something expensive. All you have to
00:42do is be patient and wait because one day it's going to be free. Now, let me put this
00:47out there. There's nothing wrong with guys coloring their hair. I just want to be the
00:51guy who says it's also OK not to color your hair because it's just hair. It has very
00:56little to do with who you are on the inside, which I think matters a little more. It's
01:02very telling to people, to your audience, partly as to who you are. You know, you celebrate
01:09who you are and part of which is being comfortable with accepting it. When the pandemic happened,
01:15I thought my career was finished. All of us, Raymond. I thought I would never
01:21sing again. So, I told myself, you know, if given opportunities again, if ever things
01:25get better, I would like to face these opportunities with gratitude, with grace, with truth and
01:31authenticity.
01:32Tama. Tama. Oo, may nagsabi nga noona. During the pandemic, we were all confronted by our
01:39finitude. You know, the other way of saying it is we were all told that we are all going
01:45to die. Yes. So, we might as well be better. Mamamatay tayong lahat. Toto. We might as
01:50well be better people, kinder, more compassionate. Toto. Diba? Toto. And some of us asked the
01:56question, saan darating ang umaga? One of your most beloved hits. You know, I saw that
02:04song being written. In fact, I only. Nakita mo si The Great Canseco na sinusulat? Yes.
02:10I only found out the day before that I was going to record that song. Boss Vic told me,
02:13Raymond, nasa pelikula ka, ikaw na mag-record ng theme song. So, paano sinulat ni George
02:19Canseco? I asked, when is the recording? The next day. I was like, oh, my God, the next
02:23day, how am I going to learn this? So, I cut class, which is not advisable. I went to the
02:29studio early to try and learn it. And I introduced myself. I said, Mr. Canseco, ako po si Raymond,
02:34I will be singing your song today. And he goes, ah, ikaw ba si Raymond? Iho, sige, maupuka
02:38muna sa sofa dahil sinusulat ko pa. Song by Raymond Lochenco, I mean, written by the
02:43great George Canseco. And then there's a song written again ng isa pang napakahusay na kompositor,
02:50the great Cecil Azarcon. Cecil Azarcon. Na, you also had no inkling at all that this was
02:57going to be a wedding song. No, no idea. Parang farewell. I had no idea that it would resonate
03:03so much and that every school would use it for graduation. Ito naman si So It's You. Ang maganda
03:08dito, boy, nag-evolve yung kanta. From something that talked about first love, I now sing it sa
03:15mga renewal of vows of people who have been married 20, 30 years or so. So, I mean, you know,
03:20it tells a story of a love that evolves. That's what I love about it so much. Paano naman kayo
03:26nagkatagpuan ni Cecil Azarcon? Again, I just got lucky because the song was just given to me.
03:34Ikaw ba pag kumakanta sa kasal, sa graduation, affordable ka ba? Who manages this, Mia? I think
03:45so kasi maraming kumukuha sa akin. I mean, kung ako halimbawa gagraduate, that would be a dream.
03:54Raymond Lochenko doing farewell. Gia Rodis is my manager. Gia Rodis. Girly. So manageable. Very
04:03good. Excellent manager. So sa mga nag-iisip na hindi ma-afford si Raymond, kausapin niyo lamang.
04:09Let's go to farewell. Yes. Farewell, oh my God. It resonated so deeply and so loudly. Alam mo,
04:16boy, one time I was promoting a show in Guam and part of the promo was to visit a school,
04:21a local school, an international school in Guam. Hindi Pinoy. When I arrived, lo and behold,
04:26they were rehearsing the graduation. Ano yung kanta na gamit nila? Farewell. Few lines, please. Same
04:30thing in LA. An American school in LA and they're using farewell. It turns out their teachers were
04:36Filipino. Raymond, maraming salamat. November 23 at the theater at Solaire. Just got lucky starring
04:44the one and the only Raymond Lochenko. Thank you. Maraming salamat po sa inyong pagpapatuloy
04:51sa amin, sa inyong mga tahanan at puso araw-araw. And be kind. Make your nana and taday proud
04:57and say thank you. Do one good thing a day and make this world a better place. Goodbye for now.
05:01God bless you.
05:31you
