00:00Hello, my name is Luke Patrick and I'm a reporter for the Lancashire Post.
00:04A couple in Longridge are deeply relieved after their cat was returned to them by the
00:08RSPCA after it had gone missing for 15 days.
00:12The couple described it as similar to a family member going missing.
00:18The cat had gone out on the Saturday 7th September and when it hadn't returned by the following
00:25Monday the couple started to get a bit worried.
00:28They put up posts on social media hoping that someone would have seen their cat but
00:33it was only when they got a knock on the door by a member of the RSPCA that their cat was
00:40returned to them.
00:42It turns out that the cat had got stuck at a well shaft at United Utilities Reservoir
00:48in Longridge and that the fire brigade had to be called out to abseil down the lift shaft
00:54to retrieve the cat.
00:56The cat has now been returned and is recovering at home.
