There's been a rise in shoplifting in recent years, coinciding with the cost of living crisis. Do you have any sympathy for those who steal or should they face the full force of the law?

00:00I suppose I do it for a reason. There again, you know, I've got the chocolate, we've got food banks,
00:06there's a place you can go. These help out people and it's just finding, you know,
00:12the right direction to go into. If you're robbing from a local business then shame on you because
00:18they're just trying to make money but the cost of living in crisis is actually insane because
00:22you've got like single parents out here claiming less and less benefits each year
00:26because it's all going just to getting spent on wars. I mean it could be getting spent on schools
00:30for NHS funds. I've not seen any situation like that about shoplifting but I think
00:39maybe it happens. I think it depends, the punishment they get should depend on what
00:43background they're from. Yeah. If they're doing it just to act hard for their mates or whatever
00:47then yeah put them in a bin but like if it's someone desperately struggling they should be
00:51given the help they need to get back on track. I think it should be stopped, shoplifting.
00:57I don't like people shoplifting.
