PM Modi Meets Ukraine’s Zelenskyy In New York, Reaffirms India’s Support For Peaceful Resolution

On September 23, Prime Minister Narendra Modi met Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in New York. The two leaders met for the second time in about a month. PM Modi had visited Ukraine on August 23 at the invitation of President Zelenskyy. This was the first ever visit by an Indian Prime Minister to Ukraine since diplomatic relations were established between the two countries in the year 1992. Both the leaders expressed mutual interest in working towards elevating bilateral relations from a comprehensive partnership to a strategic partnership in the future, reported ANI.
