Lisbon's Modern Art Centre (CAM) is reopening to the public after a €58 million overhaul by acclaimed Japanese architect Kengo Kuma.

00:00So, CAM reopens on the 20th of September.
00:28After having been closed for major redesigning by architect Kengo Kuma, we will have a new
00:35garden that was designed by Vladimir Dvorovic and the whole museum is now really nested
00:42in a whole garden, completely transparent and very much in touch with nature.
00:48The idea being that art and the city and the nature are all sort of interconnected.
00:57We are launching this museum with major exhibitions.
01:00The first one is the one we're in now, which is an exhibition by Leonardo Tunis, a Portuguese
01:05artist based in Berlin, who has done a site-specific composition, sculptural composition, and also
01:12selected works by female artists in the collection.
01:16There will also be an exhibition by Fernando Lemos exploring his specific relationship
01:22with Japanese culture.
