00:00A rider was killed after he fell off a plant box in the center island of Marikina.

00:06The incident is twice as painful for his father who passed by the place and saw the child himself.

00:13Breaking news, EJ Gomez.

00:18A 22-year-old man was killed and his motorcycle was injured after he got into an accident on Diosdado Macapagal Bridge in Marikina.

00:27At 8am on September 11, John Mark Lomboy and his partner collided in the plant box of the center island of Tulay.

00:36The injured victim was seen by his own father when he passed by the scene of the accident.

00:42My son said that it was my grandfather's motorcycle.

00:45I ran towards it because I saw the blood coming out of his ears and nose.

00:54That's when I started crying because it was so sudden.

01:02I didn't expect that it was my son.

01:05According to the police, it was a self-accident.

01:08But based on the statement of the woman, John Mark,

01:11there was an accident.

01:14That was the first thing she said about the motorcycle.

01:18My son was out of balance on the universe.

01:24That's why they took him to the hospital.

01:31It is twice as painful for his father who passed by the place and saw the child himself.

01:37I asked him why he wasn't rushed to the hospital yet.

01:42He said he was waiting for the stretcher.

01:49I asked him why.

01:52The police said that the ambulance driver was dead.

01:59I held my son's chest and he was still breathing.

02:02His heart was beating fast.

02:05The Barangay Santa Cruz Antipolo Fire and Rescue was the first to respond to the ambulance in the area.

02:10But they were not able to take John Mark to the hospital because they didn't have a stretcher.

02:15We came from Quezon City.

02:17We didn't have a stretcher because we were bringing down a patient.

02:22We were on our way home from Barangay Santa Cruz.

02:25We were already at the scene.

02:27We were stopped by the police.

02:29We stopped and asked for first aid.

02:33They immediately called for an ambulance that can transport the victim.

02:37They also denied that they declared the victim dead on the spot.

02:41We didn't declare that, ma'am.

02:43We are not allowed to declare that.

02:45It took more than two hours for John Mark to be brought to the hospital by the Marikina Rescue Ambulance

02:51where he was also declared dead on arrival.

02:54The family of the victim was very worried.

02:58They even dreamed of following in their father's footsteps as a soldier.
