00:52The Perlis Islamic Religious Affairs Department said they had raided two premises linked to
00:57the GISB group and seized 63 items, including books allegedly related to the founder of
01:04the band Al-Aqam Teaching.
01:07On Friday, Perlis became the first state to issue a fatwa declaring GISB as a deviant
01:13sect.
01:14It is learned that businesses linked to the group in Perlis had been closed down.
01:20Authorities raided three houses in Kampung Panji, Kelantan, and found dozens of books
01:24related to the teachings of the GISB group buried along a riverbank in the area on Saturday.
01:31The books are believed to have been concealed after the arrest of the GISB CEO on Thursday.
01:37Inspector General of Police Tan Sri Razzaroodin Hussain had said the operation had entered
01:42its fourth phase nationwide.
01:44He said they raided a total of 82 premises, rescuing some 186 victims, while a total of
01:52155 suspects have been arrested.
01:55They also seized pamphlets containing elements believed to contradict Islamic teachings.
