00:00Well, Daniel Suarez said he needed a big cushion coming into Bristol.
00:04He had a 36-point cushion coming into this one, but you managed to survive and make it
00:08to the round of 12.
00:10Resilient effort.
00:11How do you feel about the effort of the 99 crew here tonight?
00:13You know, since we unloaded the car for first practice yesterday, Alex, I knew we didn't
00:18have a lot of speed, you know?
00:19And I just feel like maybe our focus was in the wrong way.
00:23We put a lot of work and a lot of preparation into tire fall-off.
00:29The last spring, and obviously that was not the case this time.
00:32So maybe it was the wrong approach, I don't know.
00:34We will have to go back and study everything, but we were just slow.
00:38I think we practiced last, we qualified 35th, we run 31st.
00:43So it was just bad.
00:46I just had to control what I can control with the 99, trying to hold up as much as I could
00:51the competition.
00:52It worked out good right there at the end with the 54.
00:56It's not something I really like to do, but I had to do that.
00:59Last driver of this round in on points.
01:01We look ahead to Kansas, Talladega, and the Roval.
01:04How do you attack these next three races?
01:06Actually in Kansas, I feel pretty good about it.
01:08We have run very well there in the past.
01:10Talladega, as we all know, is anything can happen, and Roval already brings a smile on
01:16my face.
01:17So I know we're going to be pretty fast there.
01:18Welcome to the round of 12.
