00:00I'm here with Owen Riddle, the newest councillor for the Byrne Valley Ward. Owen, how do you
00:05feel after the result being announced?
00:07I feel absolutely relieved at the end of a really quick, sharp campaign, but I'm really
00:12honoured to have this opportunity now to serve the people of Byrne Valley. I've spoken to
00:16so many, I've done well over 1,000 over the last few weeks, and it's been great to get
00:20to know lots of people in the ward, and I'm really ready to serve them now. I think we've
00:25got lots of conversations, we've got lots of casework from speaking with them, so I'm
00:28really ready to hit the ground running. I'm really eager to get going as well.
00:33And have you got any last messages for the residents in the ward?
00:36I think one thing they can expect is just basically that I'll be present and visible,
00:41and they can get in touch with me, they'll be able to find me, they'll know who I am,
00:44and I'll be there, being responsive, and basically serving them, because that's what we're here
00:49for first and foremost.
