01:092024 intercepted a cargo going to the United Kingdom. A thorough search of the consignment revealed
01:17924 bottles of codeine-based syrup weighing
01:20135.70 kilograms and
01:255,250 tablets of Rohypnol were hidden in cartons of foodstuffs
01:29The threat agent, Owodjori Olanrewajusonde, who presented the cargo for export was promptly arrested
01:36Further investigation led to the arrest of another suspect, Adewunmi Akim Tebitope, who claimed that his mother
01:4458-year-old Mrs. Adewunmi Ademola Dokas sent the consignment to him from Ibadone to deliver to the agent
01:52A follow-up operation on Saturday, the 7th of September, led to the arrest of Mrs. Adewunmi in Ibadone
01:58where she deals in foodstuffs and cargo export. In his statement,
02:03the agent Owodjori confessed that he has been working for Mrs. Adewunmi to export cargoes to the UK
02:10adding that he was paid 2,411,000 Nairas for the job, while he was paid 2.1 million Nairas for a similar consignment

02:24NDLEA operatives at the same export shed of the Lagos Airport on Wednesday, the 11th of September,
02:31intercepted some cartons of auto spare parts and chequers powder costars going to Congo Brazzaville on Ethiopian Airlines.
02:39A diligent search of the cargo led to the discovery of 300 grams of cocaine
02:43concealed in the containers of chequers powder costars packed together with some auto parts.
02:49A follow-up operation led to the arrest of the sender of the consignment,
02:53Arizeora, who deals in auto parts at Shock 12, Block 7 Aspanda Trade Fair Auto Parts Wing,
03:01Amur or Dauphin area of Lagos.
03:04Meanwhile,
03:05operatives of a special operations unit of NDLEA on Tuesday, the 10th of September, arrested two brothers,
03:12Ikechukwu Ikeaba and Ugochukwu Ikeaba, who are sponsors of drug traffickers who specialize in exporting drugs by ingestion to Vietnam.
